“I’ll think of something,” Ash promised.

Briefly, I looked at each of them. I needed to dig into each of my Alphas. Now that we had the time, I wanted to know everything about them. Including their family. I already knew about Asher’s family, and it wasn’t something he wanted to talk about. Some of his tattoos covered up scars he’d received as a child. For obvious reasons, I hadn’t met his family and probably wouldn’t. He’d gotten out as soon as he could and never looked back.

The others, though.

“Am I going to meet everyone’s family? Besides Ash, I mean.”

“I’m sure my family is going to love you,” Jace whispered. “They’re in Concordia, but we’ll figure it out.”

“I only have a brother,” Gabriel said. “Good terms, but he’s much older than I am, so we don’t talk much. I’m sure you’ll meet him at some point.”

Roman didn’t return my gaze when I looked at him, instead sliding his hand into mine and interlocking our fingers. It was enough to tell me he didn’t want to talk about it. At least for now.

I squeezed his hand and he squeezed back.

“Anything we should know before we go in?” Gabriel asked as he parked in the gravel drive.

“That you’re walking into a zoo?” I muttered.

Roman choked back a laugh.

“A zoo?”

I loved my grandmother, and nothing she did surprised me anymore. As for everyone else? No telling what we were about to walk in on.

The door opened before I could even knock, my grandmother’s housekeeper greeting us. Gorgeous orchestral music floated out of the house at an ear splitting volume.

“Hi, Sloane.”

Pulling Marnie in for a hug, I sighed. “Hi.”

The woman, who’d been working for my grandmother almost as long as I’d been alive, laughed. “She’s expecting you.”

“What is she doing?”

“Right now? Aerial silks.”

Someone behind me coughed. Suspiciously.

I pinched the bridge of my nose for a second. “Okay. Marnie, can you take my Alphas to the greenhouse?”

“Of course.”

“We’re going with you,” Roman said.

“You will be, but I need to see her first,” I said, adding under my breath. “To make sure she’s actually decent for company.”

None of them protested further, Gabriel leaning in and kissing my hair on the way by. As soon as they were out of sight, I took a deep breath.

Here we go.
