“I’m fine.”

“I insist.” I shove the coffee at her.

“Um… okay.” She grasps the cup and mumbles, “Why are you being weird?”

The crowd parts as B4 gets nearer.

All the guys are stylish.

Even Miles and his cocky self draws grudging admiration from me.

Barclay is the overt Cassanova with his long ponytail, dark eyes and seductive smile.

Fitz is the hot nerd—tall and lean with a penchant for turtlenecks. He moves like a swan, full of grace, as if he lives far above us mere mortals and couldn’t be bothered.

Personally, I’m a Fitz fan.

My eyes move to the man at the forefront of B4.

Hawk.

There’s a reason all the girls—inside the movie and out—rave over Hawk.

His powerful aura swallows up the room.

His sharp presence demands attention.

He stares straight ahead, a cold expression on his face and liquid fire blurring to steel in his icy blue eyes.

Hands in the pockets of his crisp maroon pants, he moves forward as if he fully expects people to get out of the way.

And they do.

Excitement stirs in my chest as I glance at Catherine. She’s taking Hawk in, leaning forward, falling under his spell.

I inch up to her, my hand on her back as I prepare to facilitate the meet-cute they should have had from the beginning of the movie.

Hawk gets closer.

My palm flattens on Catherine’s back.

I just need to get this clueless female and that jerk-hole of a male to fall in love the way they were meant to.

And then?

I’m going home.

HAWK

My eyes gravitate to Shanel. I don’t see anyone else in the crowded hallway. No one freaking exists. There’s a spotlight over her head.

Light bounces against her curly, black hair.

In her brown skin.

In her eyes.
