“You’re the only one that’s mine.”

“Says who?” I snap.

“That sounds like a question.”

“So?”

“It’s not your turn.”

I grit my teeth and bite out, “Catherine, truth or shot?”

“I really don’t have any questions…”

“It’s actually my turn.” Hawk nods at her. “I have a question for you.”

“For me?” Catherine hiccups and slaps a hand over her mouth in embarrassment.

I roll my eyes.

Hawk rests an elbow on his thigh. “What does Shanel wear to sleep?”

“Excuse me?”

Amusement glints in his eyes.

“I’ll take the shot.” Catherine scoots to the edge of her seat and eagerly drains the tequila glass.

Hawk’s blue stare lingers on me. “Never mind. I’ll find out soon enough.”

“Jerk,” I hiss.

He chuckles.

“Here. Take this.” Catherine offers a shot glass to me.

I accept it hesitantly. “You haven’t asked the question.”

“I know.”

“Hit me.”

“Are you attracted to Hawk?”

My body goes stiff.

The answer explodes in me.

Yes.

Irrevocably.

Despite knowing he’s a cocky bastard, he lives in another world and he belongs to you.

Those words push at my throat.

I stomp them down and knock back the shot.

Hawk gives Catherine an approving nod.
