My back tingled as I pumped into her faster. Harder. I felt my control snap. Knew I was ruining her, but I couldn’t stop myself. She was too tight and perfect. Her body begged for it. I rammed into her.

“I’m going to fill you with my cum.” I growled as I fucked her over and over.

I suddenly hated that it was her ass and not her pussy. I wanted her pregnant again. The idea made me crazy. Made me fucking feral as I destroyed her.

“Do it!” She moaned as she came again, no doubt driven to another release by the pain I gave her.

It was the push I needed. I slammed into her again, burying myself as deep as she could take. My balls drew tight as I exploded inside her. I jerked and pulsed until she took it all. Until it would be dripping out of her for days, proving what she was.

Mine. Always mine.

“Ignore it,” I mumbled as I yanked Ariella closer. Her pert ass fit perfectly against me. Her jasmine scent filled my mind as I buried my face in her neck. Just as I started to drift off to sleep, her phone rang again. “Who is it? They’re dead.”

She chuckled as she reached for the phone on her nightstand. “It’s Zara.”

In the next instant, she was on her feet, throwing my shirt over her head before answering the call. I glanced at the clock, realizing it wasn’t as late as I’d thought; only midnight. But we’d fallen into a deep sleep after I pulled two more orgasms from her.

I didn’t pay attention to what she was saying. Too distracted by her ass swaying in her leggings as she walked down the hall to talk to her sister.

Mine.

I had every part of her now. Every first. And I would have every last.

There would never be anyone else. Just like there was no one else for me. I never wanted to be without her again. Even if she died, my soul would find its way to hers.

I tried to close my eyes and go back to sleep, but the bed felt empty without her. I’d spent so many nights finding her in the woods. Sleeping under the moonlight on a blanket, I found it hard to sleep in a bed.

It was why I’d always hunted at night. Killed during the dark. So those times would have a different meaning. But I never stopped yearning for her.

After a while, I decided to see what was taking so long. I didn’t like anything keeping my girl from our bed. Maybe I’d start turning her phone off at night. Or I’d just get rid of it altogether; then, her focus could be entirely on me. She could be consumed with us like I was.

I expected to find Ariella in the living room or kitchen, still talking to Zara. But it was silent when I reached the end of the hall. Tension ran down my spine as I looked around the dark house.

She wouldn’t have left without telling me, but I didn’t see her anywhere. The worst thoughts played in my mind. She wasn’t over our fight and had left. She’d been taken. It wasn’t a far-fetched idea. I had enough enemies to fill hell.

I exhaled harshly when I saw the porch swing moving. Cold air assaulted me as I pushed the sliding door open. Why the hell was she out here in this weather?

“Nightling, what are you doing?” I crossed my arms over my bare chest.

She didn’t look at me, instead staring out at the woods we’d spent our teenage years in. My insides twisted as I noticed her sketchbook was tossed on the seat beside her. She usually only sat here when she was drawing. But tonight, she had a glass of wine in her hand.

“Ariella, what—.”

“Tell me you didn’t know about Zara.” Her voice was devoid of all emotions as she cut me off.

I wanted to cross the space to her, but something told me not to move. That if I did, she’d reject my touch. “Know about what?”

“Angelo Kent?” She snapped her gaze to me. Rage burned behind those honey eyes I loved so much. “She’s arranged to marry Angelo Kent. He’s a murderer!”

Fuck. Gio had picked a husband.

“Hold on.”

I walked back into the house, grabbing my own phone off the kitchen counter. I dialed Matteo. The ringing grated across my nerves as I waited for him to answer. My fingers dug into the phone so tightly the plastic creaked.
