“It’s the owners of the company. They are probably old men who hire people to do the work they used to do thirty years ago.” I look at the clock on the wall and curse under my breath. “I need to go. I’ll see you at lunch.” Turning on my heels, I head for the door, needing to return to my desk in five minutes.

“You better, as we need to work out a way to celebrate! I’m thinking of a pizza party at yours tonight!” Penny calls behind me as I close the door and rush towards the elevator. Luckily, as I reach it, the doors open for someone to exit. I go to step inside but almost trip over my feet when I see the two hot guys standing inside. I quickly remember myself and step into the elevator before the doors close. I lift my hand to press the button for my floor when I notice it has already been pressed. I glance at the mirror beside me and see the two men looking straight ahead at the doors. No other buttons on the panel lit up, and it dawns on me that these are probably the guys from the security company. Penny would have a field day if she saw them. I think every woman in a five-mile radius would kill for a moment with these, especially if they were to detain and cuff them. I quickly push that thought out of my mind as the last thing I need right now is to have inappropriate thoughts while in the meeting.

Both men are over six feet tall, with brown hair and look younger than me. Are they old enough to have any real experience of providing security? One of them looks like he’s just left school. Okay, he doesn’t look that young, but he has a definite baby face.

I force myself to look away from the mirror and back to the panel showing our slow journey to the top floor. The elevator stops abruptly, and the doors open, revealing a large filing cabinet. The maintenance guy, Grant, doesn’t look before pushing the filing cabinet into the cramped space, and I only just manage to jump out of the way in time. I start to lose my balance on my high heels and would have fallen if two hands hadn’t grabbed my arms from behind, steadying me.

“Hey! Watch where you’re pushing that thing, buddy!” a thick American accent calls from behind me. I stand back up and look to my right, where the older-looking of the two is looking at me, his hands still on my arms from where he caught me.

“Are you okay, Ma’am?” he asks, his voice a little deeper than the one who shouted at the Grant, but his American accent is just as thick.

“Yes. Thanks,” I stutter before stepping away from him. His grip on my arms loosens, but he seems to take a step with me as if to check I’m truly stable on my feet. “Thanks for catching me,” I add, not knowing what else to say. He smiles at me, his head tipped slightly to the side.

“You’re welcome.” Our eyes met, and I can’t tear myself away from them. They are a gorgeous shade of brown that reminds me of the hazel desk my father used to have in his office. They may be the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.

“You alright, Chels?”

I look at Grant and give him a reassuring smile.

“I’m fine. But be more careful next time, please.”

“I will, I’m so sorry, Chels.”

I place a hand on his arm before giving it a quick squeeze.

“No harm done, so don’t worry about it.”

The doors close, and we continue on our journey. I try not to notice how much closer I am to the American who caught me, but I can feel his presence behind me like a solid wall. The smell of his cologne overpowers my senses and leaves me wanting to smell it up close and personal. What the fuck?

Thankfully, the elevator opens, and Grant leaves with the filing cabinet. I quickly follow behind him, desperate to distance myself from the hot Americans. I hear Grant asking where I want the cabinet, and I remember I’d asked him to bring it up before I went on my coffee break. What the hell has gotten into me in the last few minutes? It’s like my mind stopped working when I saw those hot men.

Needing to clear my head before I’m forced to endure being near those two hot Americans, I show Grant into the office at the far end of the floor. After showing him where to place the cabinet, I thank him again before returning to my desk. As soon as it comes into view, I see the two Americans standing, talking to Mr Young, who turns his attention to me and smiles.

“Ah, here she is. Chelsea, come and meet the owners of the new security company who will be taking over the contract.”

I stand beside Mr Young and smile at the two gentlemen before me, reminding myself to be as professional as possible.

“Chelsea, this is Calvin Anderson. Calvin, this is my PA, Chelsea Hughes,” Mr Young announces as Calvin holds out a hand, which I give a quick shake. He's the one who caught me in the elevator.

“It’s a pleasure,” I say, trying to keep my tone as professional as possible, but my heart is racing a hundred miles an hour. He doesn’t reply, just smiles and nods as Mr Young draws my attention to the younger guy beside him.

“And this is one of his business partners, Drew Cambell.”

“It’s lovely to meet you, Mr Cambell,” I smile at the younger man. He has a dazzling smile which lights up his baby face. God, how young is this guy?

“You too, Mrs Hughes. But please call me Drew,” he says, shaking my hand. I nod once, returning the smile as I look between the two men.

“Then please call me Chelsea.”

“Why don’t we all go into the office and discuss a few things before I give you a tour of the premises,” Mr Young announces beside me, and I quickly make my way to his office door and hold it open for the three men to walk through. Calvin comes to a stop beside me first and takes the door.

“After you, Chelsea,” he says in a voice that I bet sounds amazing if he were to whisper in my ear.Oh my god, sort it out, Chels!

“Thank you,” I reply quickly before walking into the office, hoping to get some control of my body and inappropriate thoughts before I make a complete fool of myself.
