Rainier’s face grew hot even though that was years ago, and he could imagine Mum thinking he still snuck honey swirls and whatever else. “I’m not a child anymore. My tastes have changed.”

“I don’t see how they could change that much.”

“I didn’t particularly enjoy spinach then, but I like it now,” he said.

“You should have some of the dessert. Fruit is good for you.”

Not when it was mashed into a pulp and soaked in pure fat from milk with sugar added. “I don’t really like it. Besides, I had enough for dinner.”

Natalie rolled her eyes. Betty brought up some gossip about the silversmith from back home. It was still a relief to finally escape and head upstairs.

Felix and Inky seemed to have vanished, and when he went into his bedroom, a big lump was under the blanket.

“I guess my Kitten stole my cat and ran away,” Rainier said loudly.

A small laugh came from the blanket as thunder rumbled overhead although it wasn’t so loud now. It was still pouring outside, and he could hear the drops hitting the windows, but maybe it would stop soon.

“Come under with us,” said Felix. “I took Inky under here.”

“Awww.” Rainier lifted the blanket enough to peer under and squinted. Inky was purring against Felix. “You brought him?”

“He was scared of the thunder, and I wanted him to feel safe.”

A little glow of warmth made Rainier want to kiss Felix, and he moved to get under. He settled by them and felt for Inky’s head in the dark to scratch his ears.

“I found him outside in a thunderstorm nearly a couple of years ago. He wasn’t fully grown yet. I’d gone riding, and it came up quite swiftly, so I got caught in it, and I happened to see him huddled under a skinny bush not far from the city gates. The poor little guy was soaked, and I put him in my coat. He’s been with me ever since. Mum wasn’t happy, but she let it go.”

“She doesn’t like cats?”

“She’s never been a pet person,” said Rainier.

"I'm glad you found him."

They spent a few quiet minutes petting Inky. No more thunder came, and he seemed to grow bored since he got up to slink out from under the covers.

“Do you want to play?” whispered Rainier.

“Yes!”

“I’ll make sure Inky is out of the room and close the sitting room door.”

Felix looked so cute as he sat on the floor by Rainier’s feet. Most real cats weren’t too fond of being on a lead, but Felix clearly didn’t mind.

He seemed intent on keeping quiet since he knew that was preferred, and Rainier bent over to poke the bell on his collar and make it ring.

“You’re adorable.”

He stroked under Felix’s chin, and his pet stretched his head forward. When Rainier straightened, Felix crawled a little closer to rub against his legs, and he turned his ass to make the tail brush against him. He couldn’t actually flick a plug tail like a real cat, but it was good enough.

He even arched his back and stuck his rear up when Rainier bent over again to pet him.

“Good Kitten. Get next to me. When I walk you, stay beside me. Don’t get ahead or behind. I know you’re not a pup, but I like this too."

Felix crawled alongside him as he was led around the perimeter of the sitting room. Rainier gave him almost no slack with the lead, and he was pleased to see Felix didn’t lag or get ahead but matched his pace. He also kept his head up, and the feel of the collar and the lead that was just taunt enough likely helped with that. The sight of his cute little asscheeks with the tail hanging down was already making his cock stir in his trousers.

He let Felix have a little slack, and he kept the proper pace with his head up. Rainier led him out into the middle of the room. It was tempting to take him into the hall since it was just him on this floor. The servants never came up at this time unless he rang a bell, and Mum always retired to her rooms on the next floor down.
