So she had to sit and watch while they cleared up. But then Steele bought over several lumps of playdough. There was a red one, a blue one and a green one.

“Daddy! I loves it.” She started playing with the different colors, rolling them into shapes.

To her shock, both men sat at the table and started creating things.

She made a snail and held it up. “Look at my snail!”

“Wow, baby girl. That’s amazing,” Steele told her as he put the finishing touches on his snowman.

“Best snail I’ve ever seen.” Grady finished his house. Which looked awesome.

But not as awesome as this day.

Or her snail. Because it was the bomb.

Effie was expecting the knock on the door.

But she still jumped. Nerves filled her as she rushed over to open the door. There stood Grady, looking as dapper as he always did. Tonight, he wore a white shirt with navy blue pants and a vest.

“Delicious,” she murmured.

He grinned. “I think that’s my line.” He ran his gaze up and down her. “Sweetheart, you look absolutely edible.”

Her heart leaped in her throat at the memory of him eating her. And at the thought of everything they might do tonight.

It had been a long few days waiting for Saturday. And she’d spent far too much time thinking about what she was going to wear. She’d finally found this gorgeous, vibrant red dress at a store. It had been marked down and just within her budget. It had a sweetheart neckline and was tight around her breasts before flaring out slightly.

“Lord, baby. Damon is going to cream himself.” She flushed bright red as he stepped further into her apartment. “But too bad for him, he isn’t here right now and I am.” Then he grabbed her around her hips and drew her into him. “But lucky for me.”

His hand went around the back of her head, holding her steady as he devoured her.

And it was amazing.

The man could kiss. Holy crap. If he hadn’t been holding her up, she’d have collapsed onto the floor in a heap.

When he drew back, she stared up at him in shock.

“Might need to fix your lipstick now, sweetheart.”

“Eek!” She moved out of his hold and into the bathroom. When she returned, he was leaning against the wall, holding on to her coat with one hand and staring at her hungrily.

How was it possible for one man to be that gorgeous?

And how was it possible for her to be this darn lucky?

“Come here,” he murmured. It was said softly, but it was an order all the same.

When she got there, he spun his finger in the air. “Turn.”

She spun around and he helped her put on her coat.

“I don’t think anyone has helped me put a coat on before the two of you,” she said. “It’s very gentlemanly.”

He huffed out a laugh. “Think Steele would object to being called a gentleman, but I’ll take it.”

“There’s nothing wrong with being a gentleman.”
