“Sir.”

“Fine. Sir. I enjoyed most of our encounter in London. You’re hung, but more than that you know how to use what your mama gave you and seemed to draw some pleasure from giving your partner pleasure…”

“What part didn’t you enjoy?” he asked.

“The part where you left me tied naked to a St. Andrew’s Cross while you got yourself cleaned up and expected me to be okay with that. I wasn’t. I can, if I have to, accept aftercare at the club, but anywhere else…”

“No. If I discipline you, put you in subspace, or I think you need it, I will hold you until I feel I can let you go. Sometimes, Miley, it’s as much for the Dom as it is for the sub, and yes, I felt cheated that night, but duly noted that I will make sure you’re comfortable before I duck into the bath. For the record, if you’d cried out or I’d heard any sign of distress I would have been back. And to be honest, I wanted you tied up so I could go to work on you again. I knew you’d orgasmed, but I also knew you’d never achieved subspace. I want that for you.”

“What about what I want?”

“I suppose we’ll have to negotiate that. But as I understand it, you are leaving sex on the table.”

“I prefer a bed unless I’m on top, and I can’t see that happening very often with you,” she said, surprising herself with her teasing tone.

“That would be correct, but don’t kid yourself, if I have free access to you as I would with my sub, I won’t always have a bed or a soft spot handy.”

She laughed and allowed herself to sink into the comfortable sofa. “This would work.”

“I’ve already had fantasies about you over the back of that couch with your dress pushed up over your back as I plowed your pussy from behind.”

“You’ve had fantasies about me?” she asked, not quite believing he had.

He nodded. “At least three or four times a week ever since you ran out on me in London. You’re not the only one who felt something that night. The image of your body responding to the violet wand and how you felt when I impaled you with my cock are incredibly hot and never failed to arouse me. The Carriage House is like Baker Street, and I suspect Club Southside—anybody playing has to have a full physical conducted by our doctors at least quarterly. If a couple wants to play without a condom, they need monthly STD checks and every other month physicals. They must be in an exclusive Dom/sub contract that is filed with the club, and the woman must be on birth control.”

“So, you’re saying you’d prefer not to have to wear a condom?” He nodded. “I can live with that. I have an implant and can provide you with my medical records from Club Southside. But keep in mind that despite all of this, I’m in charge of this op. You are the protectee and I’m in charge of the detail assigned to keep you alive, catch your crazy ex-fiancée, and hopefully bring down Franco Acosta’s mob.”

“Agreed. I’ll put together a contract this afternoon before we leave for the house.”

“You’d work on a D/s contract at your work?” she asked incredulously.

“That’s what you get to do when you’re the CEO,” he answered teasingly. “Besides, if I do it with you sitting here, I can ask questions and we can get it finalized.”

“Makes sense. I’ll have Alicia send you my medical records and also a list of my hard and soft limits.”

“Good. That’ll make it easier. Now, what do you want for lunch?”

“Honestly? I’d kill for a good cheeseburger and onion rings.”

Knox grinned. “A girl after my own heart. What do you want to drink?”

Miley laughed. “Diet Coke. I know, incongruous, but it is my preferred drink. Well, that and Macallan’s, but only fifty-year-old or older, or a good, top-shelf tequila.”

“Margarita?”

“Yep, peach, on the rocks and nothing on the rim.”

Knox continued to smile at her. “You’d better be careful Miley; you’re beginning to sound like the perfect sub.”

“Really? Can your perfect sub make the kill with a sniper rifle at over a mile and a half?”

“Damn,” said Knox, sounding impressed, but not at all intimidated or put off. “No wonder Fitz doesn’t want to lose you and recruited you for his team. What made you sign on?”

“The military offered me an escape from a rotten childhood and a career. Fitz offered me a home and a family.”

Knox nodded. “I can understand that. Robert Fitzwallace is one of the finest men I’ve ever had the privilege to know and honor to call my friend.”

“Something else we can agree on. Now where can I set up?”
