"They're all ready for us" Harper grins as she takes one.

We all make our way to the back of the salon, where we spend the next few hours having our eyebrows waxed and fake eyelashes applied. As well as having our hair and make up done.

By the time we are done, we look and feel like goddesses. We’ve been here almost all afternoon, even having lunch brought here by one of the kind receptionists.

We all jump in our cars and swing by the hotel, ready to drop off our bags since we'll all be staying here tonight. It made sense since the prom is being held in the ballroom downstairs anyway. Plus, I'd be lying if I said the idea of a hotel alone with our boyfriends wasn't a huge factor in our decision as well.

Opening the wardrobe to put my stuff away, I see Nate's clothes hanging and can't help but fantasize about what it would be like if this was our home, or clothes hanging side by side in the wardrobe. It makes my tummy flutter at that thought alone. Next, I go to the bathroom to put away my toothbrush and toiletries, and again, I can't help but grin as our two toothbrushes sit side by side. By the time I've unpacked my bags and made a little heart shape on the bed in rose petals, it's almost 5 p.m.

I walk across the hall to Ava’s room, and I'm about to knock when the door swings open. "Great minds think alike," Ava giggles, closing the door behind her and putting the key into her bag.

Ava drops me home, and I head straight to my room. I carefully remove the dress bag from the back of my wardrobe.

The butterflies in my tummy go wild as I carefully unzip the bag and remove the ice blue dress from inside, feeling a mixture of happiness and sadness knowing that this was Nate's mother’s dress that she never got to wear. I hope you're looking down and feeling proud. I’m taking good care of your boy. I whisper as I look up at the ceiling and pretend to talk to heaven.

I slip into the dress, deciding it's easier to step into it rather than risk getting makeup on it by putting it over my head. As soon as it's on, a feeling of happiness washes over me that I can only describe as peace.

I look at myself in the mirror and feel like the most beautiful girl on the planet. I fell in love with the dress and felt like an absolute princess the first time I tried it on. Now, after a few alterations and with my hair and makeup done, I feel like an absolute queen. As if this dress is what I want to spend the rest of my life in.

I take one last look at myself in the mirror, admiring the simple, shimmery silver shaded eyes and natural lips the stylist gave me, along with the huge mass of tight curls. I look at how perfectly the cut of the dress fits on me; the sweetheart neckline accentuates my curves, and the thin beaded straps pull the attention back, so it doesn't seem too revealing. I spin around and fall in love with the back all over again; my entire back is bare. But it has the same shimmery beading at the back as well. This dress is beyond perfect. I carefully bend to put on my silver shoes, grab the matching clutch, and make my way to the top of the stairs.

"I'm ready!" I shout down the stairs.

"George, my camera," I hear Nana shout.

"Ready!" I hear pops shout just a moment later.

I begin walking down the stairs, ready to show them, but as I walk down, I see Nate’s, open-mouthed face staring up at me too.

"Wow!" Nana says as she wipes away a tear.

"You look beautiful, Isabella!" Pops says as he rushes to meet me at the bottom step, offering me his arm like a gentleman. He walks me the whole two steps to where Nate is waiting before whispering, "take good care of my angel," as we get to Nate.

"I need pictures." Nana squeals as she directs us both to stand and pose.

"You look amazing," Nate whispers as he stands beside me.

"Let's go outside; better lighting, " Nana huffs.

I turn to follow Nana outside when I hear a quiet "fuckk" from behind me. I turn to look at Nate to see what happened to make him swear. As I do, I see the hungry look he has in his eyes as he watches me walk. I think that he must have noticed the back of my dress and has seen how much skin is showing and the amazing way the material clings to my ass.. Nate catches me looking at him and just flashes that cheeky smirk of his as he bites his lower lip.

We’re outside taking our millionth picture when the limo arrives. Nate places his hand on my bare back, letting out a little groan of appreciation as he guides me into the car.

"See you both tomorrow," I shout as I wave before I climb inside.

"Fuck, are you actually trying to kill me? That dress looks sexy as fuck!" Nate purrs from beside me.

Heat pools from the intense look he's giving me. "Do we have to go to prom? How about we go straight to our room?"

"Yes, we do, Nathaniel Scott" I joke, slapping his leg.

We pull up to Ava’s house, and she, Tucker, and Harper climb in.

"Where's Riley?" I ask when I realize she's missing.

"She's meeting us there, apparently." Harper says this with a forced smile on her face and it's clear from her tone that she's not happy about it.

The five of us spend the whole drive laughing and joking, but I don't miss the way Nate's hand is constantly caressing my bare skin.
