“Go hunting,” I said.

“What?”

“When Rancid died, we did our best to get rid of any of his followers. It looks like they’re still around and want to mess with this club. So, I'm asking Colt here to lead this run. You want to be a Bastard. You want your title back. It’s time to prove yourself.”

He glared at me from across the room, and I reciprocated with a cool smile. "Choose any member from this table to join you. I wa\nt you to identify anyone who doesn't fit our standards and strip them of their patches. Any traitors get taken out, no questions asked. This applies to anyone you suspect is trying to undermine us!" I declared to the other executive members.

I scrutinized each of them. "The men sitting here are the ones I trust the most. Don't disappoint me," I fixed my gaze on Colt. "Because if you do, death will be the least of your concerns."

The threat hung in the air, and then a murmured, "Yes, Prez," echoed around the room.

"Now that we've dealt with that, Powertrain?"

"Yes, Prez."

"I need you to take on a job."

He nodded, leaning forward in his chair. "Whatever you need, Prez."

"There's a bounty that needs collecting."

"Consider it done. Just tell me where to go, and I'll handle it."

"Before you go, I need you to retrieve a package and bring her back safely, no matter what it takes. Her brother," I turned to Macabre, "wants his sister to be protected."

Powertrain nodded, understanding the seriousness of the request. "Understood, Prez. I'll make sure she's safe and sound," he replied confidently.

"Good. Remember, she must come back unharmed," I reminded him, giving him a stern look.

"Don't worry, Prez. You can count on me," he assured me.

"Good man. Church is adjourned for now. And Ripper, Kingpin, Malice?"

"Yes, Prez," they chorused.

"Spread the word only to those you trust. Anyone who flees will receive a bullet with their name on it."

I leaned back in my chair, surveying the room with a critical eye. The tension in the air was palpable, and I knew that the next few days would be crucial for the survival of our club.

"Remember," I said, my voice low and steady. "We are the Royal Bastards. We don't back down from a fight, and we don't let anyone mess with us. We stick together, and we take care of our own. Anybody who betrays us will face the consequences."

The other members nodded in agreement, their expressions grim and determined. They knew what was at stake, and they were ready to do whatever it took to protect our club.

As the meeting came to an end, I stood up and walked over to Colt, who was still scowling at me from across the room.

"Listen," I said with a hint of severity, "You haven't earned my trust, and you know it. But we can't afford any more mistakes. I'll be keeping a close eye on you."

He held my gaze for a moment, his expression inscrutable. Eventually, he nodded.

"Understood. I'll do whatever it takes to set things right."

"Good," I replied with a menacing undertone. "Just make sure that doesn't involve any acts of betrayal."

The Royal Bastards were now on a manhunt, and any disloyalty would be paid for in blood.
