“What the hell, Sarah!”

Ohgod.

Larry’s here, pointing at me with the end of a fishing net. “I knew you were a useless two-bit whore, but this! We’re in public! I’m going to get you fired. I’m going to get youarrestedfor this.”

I push against Marius’s chest, and when he refuses to move, start to hit it, thumping against his annoyingly hard shoulders. “Let me go! He’s going to—”

Marius lets go of my neck to grab both of my hands in one of his, before pinning them over my head, as his mouth returns to mine. This time, it’s my turn to bite. It’s the one defense I have left. I’m too unbalanced to make use of my one leg still on the floor, and he’s holding on to the other too firmly.

He chuckles, glancing over his shoulder at my coworker, who’s still gaping as the actual psychopath continues to drill me hard.

The commotion’s bringing the attention of a few customers.

And he doesn’t stop.

There could be kids. Minors. There could be anyone. And still he fucks me, faster, deeper.

I close my eyes to shut out the world. I even stop fighting, just hiding my face in the crook of his neck.

I hate that my legs are shaking, my knees buckling, my toes curving. I hate that I’ve never been this awake, my entire body ready to explode, screaming an endless yes.

I’ve lost my job, that much is clear.

Hopefully I’m not going to get arrested for indecent exposure on top of that. My dress covers us, so people can’t actually see our bodies, but there’s no mistaking what we’re doing.

I’m ashamed to say I come harder than ever, harder than I did with Rhys and Vi, harder than I thought possible. He floods my pussy as my walls clamp around him, staying planted deep inside me for a full minute.

I want the world to disappear. To open up and swallow me whole.

He gave me two choices: the easy way or the hard way.

I picked. I thought I could get my way. I learned otherwise. Marius will either own me or destroy me, and it’s up to me to decide which.

He lifts his pants back up before lowering my leg to the ground.

Then he turns to Larry, who’s still gawking and fuming. “God, you’re such a little bitch, Larry. You’re fired. I’ll mail your last check.”

I blink.

What the hell?

MARIUS

She glares at me for half of the drive, too pissed to speak at first.

Then it starts. “Since when have you owned the pet store?”

“Wednesday,” I reply smoothly.

I had to make sure she wasn’t followed or filmed there, and the owner wasn’t about to let me tinker with his security system without an explanation. And there was also Larry, the little shit who was only too happy to give me her schedule. He was a liability I couldn’t abide. So, he had to go, which means I had to own the place to fire his ass.

Besides, I quite like the thought of Sarah working for me.

“You bought it to stalk me?” she accuses.

I roll my eyes. What a useless question. Of course I did.“It’s a sound investment. There are plenty of pet owners in Thorn Falls and only one store. It has potential.”
