I will have her the moment she gives me signal that she is finished fighting the intense pull we have to each other. Never have I wanted a woman like I want Victoria, and in such a short time after meeting her.

I know the moment we connect, it will be the type of intensity like no other. And then I just hope like hell we both survive the fallout.

This is not what this trip was supposed to be about. I don’t mix work and pleasure. Ever!

But within the first few hours, this woman has me wanting to break all the rules. I don’t know what she is doing to me, but whatever spell she is casting every time we argue, it’s working.

People always say makeup sex is the best, but how does that work when you have never had each other before? We’re not like two lovers trying to calm the anger toward each other by fucking it out.

Instead, the fighting and the turmoil is the biggest turn-on for both of us. It lights both our flames, and I can see it in her eyes that she loves the fire as much as I do.

No matter how much I want her, now isn’t the right moment.

But when it is, nothing will hold me back from claiming her. Even if it’s just for one night and that’s all I get. It’ll be worth every second she gives me, because that’s what it will be. Victoria giving herself to me.

I don't want to take what I want from her, but instead, give her the highest pleasure like she deserves.

First, I need to get through this meal and the rest of today, which will be even harder than I imagined the moment she walked onto the jet this morning.

“Eat, Victoria.” My words are stern and gain her attention.

Her embarrassment is gone, and the fire is back. “Why are you so high-handed?” Her glare tells me I need to be careful being this physically close to her. She is fighting the same problem I am.

“Because I can,” I say, taking a piece of cheese and salami into my mouth and waiting for her to do the same.

Before she can reply, her phone starts ringing from across the room and startles us both.

Jumping up from her seat, she tries to put it on silent to stop the shrill noise. She has one of those annoying ringtones that is so high-pitched it almost hurts your ears.

“Sorry, sorry, sorry,” she mumbles in a hurried voice as it finally stops ringing. “I didn’t know I had bumped the silence button.” This woman is a walking disaster, and I don’t know why it doesn’t bother me like it should.

“Do you need to call them back?” It’s none of my business who was calling her, but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to know who it was.

“No,” is all I get as she places it back in her handbag.

“Okay, then let’s eat, we have work to do.” I try to clear my mind of all these lustful thoughts and concentrate back on work for the afternoon. This alone shocks me because I never put women before my business. Yet Victoria is taking up more space in my thoughts than I know what to do with.

I’m in real trouble here, but I’m finding it harder and harder to care.

“Thank you, Marco. You and Laurence have this under control, I hope. When are we going to be fully operational again?” I’m trying to be polite in the way I speak to my hotel manager, and Laurence, my chief of buildings. Apparently, I have been too much of an asshole lately, and although I want to chastise both these men for not flagging this risk before it happened, I can’t. With Victoria standing right beside me, I know it will come back to me later when we have our next war of words. There is no point denying that it will happen, because we can’t seem to go more than an hour in each other’s company without a heated discussion. It’s inevitable.

“We think it will take a week. We are having trouble sourcing local contractors that are able to start the work, so we are flying in our London team. Marco will help them negotiate the language barrier with supplies.” Laurence is quite sheepish with me and keeps looking more at Tori than I do. He is treading on thin ground right now.

I can feel my temperature rising, and I’m not sure how much longer I can maintain being the nice guy.

“Then who will be running the hotel if Marco isn’t! Find someone else to help them. You are the fucking manager, not a translator. I want a full brief in my emails by the morning.” I take Tori’s hand and glare daggers at Laurence. “My girlfriend and I will be out for the afternoon.” It takes all my strength to walk calmly with her and not storm away like I want to. I make sure I remind them that she is mine, even if it’s only temporarily.

Passing through the front doors of the hotel, Tori is just walking with me and thankfully has not opened her mouth. She’s learning.

The chauffeur opens the car door as we approach but I shake my head at him, and we keep walking down the road and past the other hotels that are close by.

Thinking we must be far enough away, finally Tori starts talking. “Is that how you treat all your staff? No wonder this evil cousin of yours wants to give you the boot from the company.”

And just like that she lights my wick with her fire.

I push her into a small alley between the buildings we are passing. I know I should stop, but I can’t.
