Page 45 of The Craving

Crowding her against the old stone of the wall, my hands land on either side of her head on the wall and I press my body firmly against hers. Looking down at her, all I can think is how it would feel to ravage her.

“That smart mouth of yours needs to be silenced,” I growl, dropping my head and dragging my nose up the side of her throat, taking in that scent that drives me crazy every time she walks into a room. The voice in my head is telling me to back off, but the horse has bolted, and I can’t rein it in now.

My face level with hers again, I look for any resistance or fear, but instead, I see her pure sexual want that mirrors mine.

“Then silence it.” And that’s all the permission I need.

I take her lips with such urgency. I won’t risk her changing her mind before I can show her what she’s doing to me. Her taste is addictive on my lips, and there is no innocence or patience in the way we devour each other. Tori is in this kiss as much as I am, with all the pent-up tension that has been building between us. She grabs at my arms like she is hanging on for dear life.

I drop my hands down to her shoulders and pull her off the wall and into my arms. I need her as close as I can get her. Sliding a hand onto her luscious hair, I pull her head in exactly the angle I want it. Our lips are still taking each other like it’s the last time they will ever meet. And maybe it is, if I had any sense.

Suddenly, it feels like I’m being watched. I pull back quicker than I should. It’s become an awful sense I have inherited in the last few years, as soon as I became newsworthy. Every bastard has a camera these days and wants to be the next big star breaking the gossip on a trashy media site. The British media are the top of the tree when it comes to ruthless gutter journalism. The way they treat the British royal family here is disgusting, but sadly, it’s not limited to them. Anyone that will bring in money is their target too.

Looking around, I can’t see anyone, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t there. Maybe I was lucky this time.

Tori’s looking at me, totally confused. One minute I’m all over her, and then I’m pulling away.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that,” I say, stepping back to put a bit more distance between us.

“Why?” Her voice is so soft.

“Because you deserve better than that,” I tell her, straightening my jacket, just to give me something to do with my hands.

“Do I?” She also takes another step away from me now, but to the side because she is still so close to the wall that she has nowhere else to go. “Actually, I do.” She stands up that little straighter, and the dreamy look that I put on her face is gone and replaced with the strength I see in her every day. She smooths her hands over her hair and her clothes, until we are both now standing here staring at each other, not knowing what just happened.

As expected, it doesn’t take long for Tori to be back to her feisty best. “Now what are you going to do?” she asks, challenging me to fix what I just started.

“Walk, for as long as it takes.” Holding my hand out to take hers, I hope I haven’t just completely wrecked our agreement.

“Why do you want to walk?” she asks, but I suspect she already knows the answer; she just likes poking the bear.

“To calm us both down.” I glance down at her hand, giving her the hint that I want it and not to choose now to be as stubborn as I know she can be.

“Good luck with that, big boy.” Stepping closer to me again, she runs her hand up my cock that’s hard as a rock.

I grit my teeth, trying not to give her the satisfaction of letting out the hiss that I so desperately want to. She is pushing me past the limit of restraint for my poor penis, which I didn’t think could get any harder, but somehow, she just managed to make it. Walking is the last thing I want to do, but it’s the only way I can keep my hands off her.

Putting her hand in mine, it is her dragging me out of the alley this time.

A few steps down the road, the first thought of guilt creeps in. “Do we need to talk about that?” I reluctantly ask, but knowing I should.

“Nope.” I can’t judge a thing from her tone that has no expression in it.

“O… kay.”

“I enjoyed it, didn’t you?” She is still looking straight ahead, not giving me anything to work with.

“You felt how much I enjoyed it.” And finally, she turns to look at me, and we both burst out laughing at the same time. Something that feels so natural to do with her.

As we finally get the laughter under control, I need to check. “Are we okay?” I ask, nervous for her answer.

“Of course, nothing has changed. Now show me some of the sights.” And just like that, the Tori who lights up my life with her smile is back. But she is wrong about one thing.

Everything has changed!

I’m not sure how I can come back from that, even if I wanted to try.

And I know deep down, I don’t.
