I want to tell Vince where to shove his job and just dance for Knox. I want this house and this life. I want this man. But there's no way that can be a possibility. I have to ask the question that keeps weighing on my mind.

“I want to know what happens after the weekend is over.”

“That is down to you, Porter.” Knox moves away from me and sits on the bed, but it's not because he wants his distance; he wants me to join him.

“But there is no point wanting to stay if that's not an option. No point asking to go home if that won't happen until Annie talks.”

“I'll do anything you want. Just let it be for you and you alone.”

“If I wanted to stay here without the collar on?”

Knox lets out a sigh and leans back on the bed. His huge muscular body is on full display. Then without a word, he reaches for the drawer beside the bed.

“I was surprised you didn't take it off yourself.” Knox brings me the key and releases the collar from my throat. “You knew where it was.”

“You didn't tell me I was allowed.” I respond with a stunned gasp.

“You are such a good boy.” His hand runs through my hair. “You are so perfect.”

“I don't know what you mean when you say that.”

“It means I believe in you more than you believe in yourself.” Knox pulls on my arms, leading me to the bed. “I want you to stay. I want you to enjoy the pool and the dance pole and eat all the muffins. I want you to want the sex we've been having, but I don't want you walking around in the collar when I'm not here to appreciate it. Not unless you want to.”

I shake my head. As much as I don't hate the bloody thing, I don't want to swim in it again. It would be nice to have the choice.

“At the end of the weekend you can decide if you want to give this a real try. Just agree to stay until you decide you want to leave,” he says with a nonchalant shrug.

“What if I want to leave now?”

“I would recommend waiting until breakfast.” Knox shrugs. “But you are free to leave anytime you want.”

“But I signed…”

“I make no promise for your sister's safety if you leave early.”

This man could have anyone he wants, and yet here he is attempting to make me believe he came for my sister and fell in love with me? This notoriously cruel man hasn't laid a finger on my sister because he really believes he loves me.

“What if I say I can only stay if you let my sister go?”

“I'd tell you that negotiation wasn't yours to make this weekend. We have one more day to enjoy together.”

“Together?”

“Well, this life isn't all just sex and time alone. You need to be sure you can tolerate my presence outside of love making.”

“Love making!” The laugh that erupts from my mouth shocks both of us. “Is that what you think we've been doing?”

“Nah, that was fucking your brains out.” His sexy smirk is back.

I mentally scold him for being a silly goose, but the words don't leave my mouth. We're not at the trading insults stage, but we are at the cuddling stage.

“Before I get back into bed,” I feel stupid having to ask him this, but I can't sleep in these shorts anymore. “Can you help me take these ridiculous shorts off?”

His laugh is contagious, and I join in with him as he helps me shimmy out of the shorts and then I join him back in bed and find myself wrapped up in his arms once again.
