Cameron shuddered and swallowed hard, his body barely moving.

Sonny pushed the tip of the knife into his skin and a teardrop of blood appeared.

“And hurry it up unless you want to lose your eye. Talk!”

Sage’s body locked up tight with fear and anger and a fair bit of shock to boot.

“I’ll tell you everything…everything I know,” Cameron croaked. “They pay me ten grand a month and I make sure that their shipments get through customs no problem. I only talk to Padraig once in a while. I go to the strip club, and Naria passes on the info. That’s it.”

“What do you know about Rosemary Benson’s death?” Sage asked, stepping forward and staring straight into Cameron’s eyes.

He shook his head. Or as much as he could with a knife to his face.

“I…”

“Speak,” Sonny dug the knife in and drew another perfect cut in Cameron’s skin, from his temple to his cheekbone. Sage swallowed back the bile rising in her throat.

“Okay, I will. P-please, stop.” Cameron blinked and grimaced.

Sonny paused but kept the knife tip to his skin.

“I m-met Rosemary over a year ago, at the club.”

Sage nodded. “At Delirium?”

“Yes. Padraig and his c-crew were there. Naria too. That’s how we were introduced.”

“Shut up, you stupid dickhead!” Naria hissed.

Sonny moved quickly and yanked on one of the ropes, pulling Naria clear off the ground.

Sage heard the woman’s gasps for air as the rope around her neck squeezed tight. Her face turned purple and the gurgling sound she made had Sage’s stomach heaving.

Then Sonny let go just as fast, dropping Naria to the ground.

Naria coughed and spat as tears ran down her face.

Cameron continued talking. “I…Naria and I were fucking and I told her where I worked and about my debts. They were starting to exceed my income and I owed so many people money. She suggested a solution and next thing I knew, I was talking to Padraig at the club… I realized w-we could help each other out. I’d make sure Padraig’s shipments got waved through customs and in return, I’d get the money I needed. It was working. Two months later, I was at the club again and talking to Padraig about the next shipment. Then…then Rosemary walked in on our conversation. Padraig lost it. They got into a screaming match, and she… s-she threatened to rat him out. She wanted money. A lot of it. She… s-said she wanted to leave him. Leave the crew.”

Sage’s instincts had been spot on.

“Then what happened?”

“Padraig p-punched her in the face, and she fell. Then he got two of his crew to haul her outside, told them to place her in lockdown. That’s the last I saw of her and all I know. I swear. I don’t know what happened after that.”

“They murdered her! That’s what happened!” Sage roared. “And what about Chad Follet?”

Cameron’s face paled but he remained silent.

“Your buddy. The cop investigating her death. He knows all about this, doesn’t he? Did you introduce him to Padraig?”

“I—” Cameron paused. “Yes. Cops make shit money. So, I set it up so they could meet. I don’t know what he does for Padraig. All Chad told me was that they w-were l-looking at another biker crew to blame for her death. But they have nothing. No evidence from the scene. It’s likely going to remain a c-cold case.”

“Another crew? You talkin’ about us?” Dante asked.

Cameron swallowed hard and nodded.

“And you,” Sage turned to Naria, her long purple hair a tangled mess around her face. “You’re in with them. Tell me what you know!”
