“Why? Is Nash—”

“I have no reason to believe Nash is any worse than what we were told. Carson needs to look into what happened and deal with it and Lincoln wants to be with his partner.”

“Oh, yeah, that makes sense.” Adam looked over at him. “Should he still be sleeping?”

“Yes, his body needs to heal. Sleeping is best for him. I just have to wonder how we’re going to get him to stay in bed once we get him home.”

“Blowjobs.” Nash’s hoarse rough voice interrupted.

Adam gasped as he practically jumped on the bed but ended up leaning over Nash. “Nash!”

“Hey, baby,” Nash replied quietly. “We were talking about blowjobs, right?”

“We were not!” Adam said around a laugh.

Lucas leaned forward. “After this little stunt you’ll be lucky if you see a blowjob for the remainder of the year,” he growled at his boy.

Nash stuck his bottom lip out. “But…but I’m hurt.”

“You’re too hurt to even be thinking about blowjobs,” Lucas pointed out.

“I don’t think anyone could be that injured,” Nash argued.

“Boy!” Lucas’s tone held a warning.

“Behave,” Adam whispered. “You’re in the hospital!”

Nash tried to sit up but when he ended up wincing, Lucas rose to help him.

“Let me,” Lucas demanded. He was able to get Nash’s back up as Adam used the remote on the bed. They managed to get Nash comfortable without too much aggravation with his injuries although he appeared exhausted once they were done.

“Adam, are you okay? You look pale. Are you still sick?” Nash narrowed his eyes even though his left was black and puffy.

“Don’t worry about me!” Adam replied. “You’re in the hospital.”

Nash sighed. “Adam, come closer.”

Adam leaned over the rail and with his right hand, Nash cupped the back of his head. “I’m fine, baby. A broken leg, not the first I’ve ever had, and that’s all. I’m fine.”

“Promise?” Adam asked softly.

“Swear,” Nash responded before he kissed Adam gently.

Once they pulled back, Adam lowered his head until his cheek rested against Nash’s right shoulder. “Okay, I believe you.”

Nash looked up at him. “I’m sorry.”

“You have nothing to be sorry for,” Lucas assured his boy. “It was an accident. Something you couldn’t have predicted. You’ll have to heal and deal with your injuries, but you have nothing to be sorry for.”

“Yeah. I bet the L.T. is pissed.”

Lucas nodded. “He’s on the way back. They all are.”

“Lincoln is going to nag me,” Nash complained.

“It’s not Lincoln that you need to worry about,” Lucas warned.

“What? I—”
