Nash swung the bag from behind his back and handed it over with a cute little pout.

“Thank you, boy.”

“Not a boy,” Nash mumbled. “And I even found Red Vines for you, so it wasn’t like all the candy was for me and Adam.”

Lucas grunted.

Adam always got so much enjoyment from watching Lucas handle Nash. The two of them made quite a picture together and for some unknown reason they wanted him.

Lucas glanced over at him. “You look pale. Are you not feeling well?”

Adam shook his head. “Tired…maybe.” Adam couldn’t get sick. He had a busy week ahead of him.

“Well standing outside in the cold isn’t going to make you feel any better.” He stepped up to Adam and brushed the hair off his forehead before leaning down and placing a kiss there. “You’re not hot. That’s good. I think you’ve been running yourself down, but a nice relaxing night might help with that. Let’s get you inside.”

He was ushered into his living room with Nash following behind. Lucas guided him to the couch, and he flopped down gratefully. Adam was still hungry, and he hadn’t even realized how cold he’d become.

Taking the quilt that one of Adam’s roommates’ grandmother had made for them, Lucas bundled him up. Adam snuggled deeper into the corner of the couch as Nash dropped down beside him. Yeah, this was much better than lying in bed all by himself.

“Have you eaten?” Lucas asked.

“No. I took a nap. I didn’t mean to sleep for so long,” Adam admitted. He’d worked the early morning shift as usual, but Mickey was closing that night. Having Mickey at the shop to split up the work had been a godsend. Mickey was always eager to do more.

“We’ll get dinner ordered first thing. You need to eat to keep your strength up. What would you like?”

“I wouldn’t mind the soup at the deli by the shop.”

“Which kind of soup would you like?” Lucas asked.

“Potato, please. Oh, and extra bread.”

Lucas looked at Nash. “I’ll take the same.”

Lucas nodded once before he stalked off while pulling his cell phone from his pocket. “Do you even have anything to drink without a bunch of sugary crap in it?”

“I told you that Lucas would know how to take care of you,” Nash whispered. “Bet you’re glad I brought the candy now. Lucas would probably only give you soup and water.”

“He’s not eating any candy and neither are you!” Lucas called from the kitchen.

Groaning, Nash dropped his head back on the couch next to Adam’s. “He's not the boss of me,” Nash whispered.

“Then why are you whispering?” Adam asked. He found himself leaning against Nash instead of cuddling in the corner of the couch. Nash was more comfortable than the old couch anyway.

Nash shrugged before he slipped an arm around Adam’s shoulder. “He’s taking care of you so that’s all that matters.” Picking up the remote, he fiddled with it. His cheeks were redder than usual, and Adam thought that Nash enjoyed Lucas fussing over him.

“What’s it going to be tonight?Sharknadomovies? We could watch all theJeepers Creepers. I haven’t seen the newest one yet.” He flipped through the movie guide of the television. “Oh!Tremors! There are a bunch of those.”

Adam nodded. “Each one dumber than the last.”

Nash chuckled before waggling his eyebrows. “So?”

“Oh God, please not those movies.” Lucas returned to the living room and passed both of them a bottle of water as he scowled at the TV.

“Adam doesn’t feel good, and these are his sicky movies,” Nash explained.

While that was not true at all, Adam waited to see what Lucas would say.

“Fine.” Lucas walked around the couch and sat on Nash’s other side. “There’s what, three of them?”
