“Yeah, baby. Let Daddy help you up.” Lucas offered his hand.

Adam lifted his arms.

Lucas chuckled before he picked Adam up and put him on his feet. He patted Adam’s bottom. “Get going, baby.”

“K.” Adam grabbed his blankie off the couch before he waddled toward the bedroom. Now that he wasn’t playing, he could feel the cold dampness covering him. “Wet.”

“I know.” Lucas walked behind him. “Daddy will take care of it.”

“Baba?”

“After I get you changed.”

“Yeah.” Reaching the bedroom, Adam ran and jumped on the bed. He bounced one time before flopping down on his back.

Lucas grabbed his feet and dragged him down the bed. “Diaper or undies, baby?”

“Hmm.” Adam tapped his chin. “Undies but still want my baba!”

“Okay, baby.” Lucas unsnapped the buttons on the onesie Adam wore before he turned toward the dresser. He grabbed the wipes before opening the top drawer where his undies were.

Daddy had strong hands and knew just what to do. He undid the diaper and had Adam wiped down with the cool wipes before Adam could complain about the cold air. New undies, teddy bear undies, were pulled on and Adam was comfy once again. With his onesie buttoned back up, Adam was warm and snuggy.

Adam crawled up the bed until he could slide under the covers.

Lucas turned on the television where cartoons were already playing.

“I’ll be right back, baby.” Lucas folded up the diaper before taking it with him.

Lucas

Lucas finished putting the toys in the container before he rose and stretched out his back. It had been a fun evening taking care of Adam in full little mode. He walked into the kitchen and prepared a bottle of milk for Adam when he heard the front door open.

“Nash?”

“Yeah. It’s just me!” Nash called. “Sorry I’m later than expected.”

Lucas turned out the light before strolling out of the kitchen. “No problem. Can I get you anything? Food? Drink?”

“I’m good but thanks.” Nash removed his one shoe.

Nash looked tired. He had circles under his eyes and the stress lines were back on his forehead. “You sure?”

“Just need a shower,” Nash said.

“Sure.” Lucas motioned Nash forward. He noticed that Nash was moving slower as well. His leg must be bothering him. Since Nash had gotten the walking boot, he seemed to be in more pain though. Lucas would get some pain relievers in him as well. Nash refused the rest of his prescribed pain meds and Lucas could understand why. As a narcotics officer, Nash would be hyper aware of the dangers of prescription drugs.

They entered the bedroom as Adam yawned.

“Na-Na!” Adam clapped his hands.

Nash walked to the bed, okay he limped, before leaning over Adam. “Hey, baby! Did you have a good night?”

“Yep! Dragons battled the evil Smurfs. We won!” he announced happily.

“Yea!” Nash gave him a smile.
