Adam dropped down onto his tummy. He moved around some of the soldiers so that the dragon had room to blow fire if he needed to. Yeah, fire was good. That would make those little blue creatures run away in fear.

He was handed back his cup and Adam drank more yummy lemonade before he set it away. Adam prepared his troops to defend the dragon. He needed something…huh…

“Daddy?”

“Yes, baby?” Lucas sat in a chair with a tablet in his hand.

“Need baby dragons.”

“Baby dragons? I don’t have any, but we can get some ordered.”

“Mister Smokey wants to be a Daddy too.”

“I’m on it, baby,” Lucas told him.

They needed to survive the battle so Mister Smokey could be a Daddy. Adam separated his troops and the dragon and wizard stood side by side. Oh! Oh! Maybe the dragon loved the wizard! Yeah! That was why Mister Smokey saved the wizard’s town. They were in love. Aww! That was so cute.

The battle began until the Smurfs ran from the fire. They didn’t like fire! Oh, he needed kitties too. The kittens would be awesome.

“Kitties, Daddy!” Adam called out.

Daddy chuckled but that was okay. It was fun to laugh and play. Adam liked to play. Playing was cool!

The dragon and the wizard were about to kiss when he became aware of another pressing issue. Adam needed to pee.

He tensed.

He still wanted to play. It wasn’t fair to have to pee!

“Hey, baby.” Lucas was by his side. “Something wrong?”

“No, Daddy.” Adam shook his head. Technically there wasn’t anything wrong but— He squirmed.

“Okay, baby. Remember that Daddy is here for whatever you might need. Just keep playing.”

“Keep playing,” Adam repeated. That was right. He needed to keep playing. They had a village to rebuild. Maybe the dragon had breathed too much fire?

No, there was never too much fire!

Adam went back to playing and when he couldn’t hold it anymore, he filled his diaper. Oh, so much better!

What the village really needed was a place for the soldiers to train with their dragons. Oh! Dragon riders. Adam picked up his five favorite army men and matched them with Mister Smokey’s brothers and sister. Because dragons could be boys and girls and it didn’t matter what color they were. Obviously.

He set up the training yard and each dragon rider got a practice round before Adam began yawning. He was getting kind of tired but playing was fun!

The second round of army and dragon fly fighting and Adam’s head was bobbing as he almost fell asleep. But he didn’t!

“Baby?” Lucas was in front of him.

“Huh?”

“I think it’s time to get you changed and lying in bed. I’ll even turn some cartoons on as we wait for Nash to get home.”

“But I’m not—” Adam yawned. “Not sleepy, Daddy.”

“I know, baby.” He caressed Adam’s face. “I’m a little tired though. Can you come with me?”

“Oh, Daddy sleepy?”
