Lucius sniffed and she tensed. Was he sick? She held back her groan and sent a little prayer asking that he wasn't.

She couldn't afford to get sick right now. With sending money to her parents and living in New York, she didn't have a lot of sick days she could take. She needed all the money she could get.

“Do you know where the bathroom is?” she asked.

Before Hedda had come to the bookstore, Storm had drunk a whole bunch of water. She wasn't expecting to go out on such short notice and now her bladder was screaming at her.

She had felt the slow pressure building up as they drove but when they walked into the house and she had looked around, it was all forgotten until this moment.

“It's just down the hall,” he said. “Maybe when you get back, we can have some fun.”

Lucius wiggled his eyebrows at her and she forced a smile.

“Thank you,” she replied, ignoring his other comment.

There was no way she was going to have some “fun” with him. He seemed nice but he sniffed and if he was sick, she didn't want to be around him any longer than she had to.

She quickly made her way to the bathroom and shut the door. Taking several deep breaths, she went and did her business before washing her hands and opening the door.

Storm wasn't looking when she walked out of the bathroom.

Slam.

She groaned and reached out to steady herself. She didn't remember there being a wall there which only meant she had run into a person.

In front of her stood a man with short wavy brown hair, brown golden eyes that shone in the light, a full beard, and tattoos that peeked from under his suit. His eyebrows were perfect, but she knew if he raised one of them, she would be a goner.

Gorgeous. Intimidating. Hot. Panty dropping.

Those were the words she would use to describe this man standing in front of her.

“Whoah,” the man said as he looked at her.

Storm couldn't help but blush at his words. She didn't know if him saying that was a good thing or a bad thing, but she decided to take it as a compliment.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

His voice was deep, but not too deep. He had a little scratchiness to it which only made him sexier. There was an air about him that screamed danger, but Storm didn't feel in danger or scared.

“I'm fine,” she softly said.

Her voice shook a tiny bit, but she hoped he didn't notice. It would have been a dead giveaway that she found him attractive or she was nervous, and she didn't want him to know.

Before the mysterious man could say anything else, Storm started to walk back into the main room in search of Hedda.

“Storm!” Hedda yelled, waving her hand in the air.

She was closer to the patio door and Storm made her way over there.

“Let's go outside?” Hedda asked.

“Sure,” she responded.

“I'm going to introduce you to Raynar. He's the owner of this house.”

They started walking toward a man with red hair.

“Raynar! This is my friend, Storm,” Hedda said as they got closer.
