It didn’t take him long to arrive at her apartment building. He quickly got out of his car and jogged to the building and up the stairs to her apartment.

Breathing heavily, he turned around the corner and looked at her bashed in door. What the hell had happened here?

He pulled out his gun and slowly entered her apartment. He didn't want any surprises and needed to be prepared if there was anybody in her apartment. Her apartment was silent but as he walked further in, he saw how trashed it was.

Miles pulled out his phone, keeping watch for anybody who could pop out, and started to scroll through his notifications. He had a voicemail from Storm, and he clicked on it.

He made his way through the apartment, making his way to her room and the bathroom as he listened to the voicemail. He hated how scared she sounded.

Why hadn’t he picked up when she needed him? He had told her the second day he knew her that if she needed anything, to call him, and the one time she did, he didn’t pick up.

He knew the interrogation was important but deep down, he also knew he could have taken a couple minutes to answer the phone call. Rogan would have understood he needed to take care of something like this. Especially since somebody took her.

Miles had no clue that if he had answered, he would have made it to her on time, but at least they wouldn't have an hour head start. Storm could be anywhere right now. An hour gave them a lot of lead time.

They could already be on a plane heading somewhere. They could be on the road and in a different state. They could be anywhere and now he had to play catch up.

He placed his phone back in his pocket and walked into her bathroom. Her phone lay on the bathroom floor and he quickly picked it up before making his way out of the bathroom. From the corner of his eye, he saw her stuffed elephant laying on her bed. Grabbing it, Miles left the apartment.

He needed to get her phone to Kirk as soon as possible. They needed to know anything and everything.

Miles got into his car and roared away from the apartment, heading to Kirk's house. He grabbed his phone as he started to drive and called Kirk.

“Hello,” Kirk answered.

“I'm headed to your house. I need you to track for any information you can,” Miles said. “I'm bringing a phone.”

He hung up before Kirk could say anything, speeding the whole way. He needed to get this done asap so he could find anything at all that could lead to where she was or what happened.

Hedda said Storm had felt eyes on her. Maybe she’d gotten something on her phone if she suspected someone. He was hoping she’d taken a picture or something with her phone. Miles knew she’d given a tiny brief description of the men, but there were a lot of men that were bald or had muscles.

In the Ricci Crime Family, there were several men that were bald and had huge muscles. It wasn't uncommon and just going off her description, it was going to be hard.

He hoped she had something on her phone Kirk could find.

He pulled into Kirk’s driveway and got out of his car, making his way toward the front door. The door opened before he could do anything and Kirk's face appeared.

“What type of phone is it?” he asked.

“An iPhone,” Miles replied.

He had no doubt Kirk could hack in and find anything on her phone. Storm probably didn't have a lot of safety measures on her phone. He couldn't blame her since most normal citizens didn't.

Anytime any of them got a new phone, Kirk always made sure it was secure before they used it. He put some safety code thing on that helped protect them. Miles didn't really understand but he didn't need to.

“Great. It should only take me a couple of minutes to find everything. Do you know if her password is numbers or letters?”

“It's four numbers,” Miles replied as he handed over the phone.

They walked back into Kirk’s house and Miles watched as he hooked up the phone to his computer. He was hoping Kirk would find something on there that could give them any indication of where Storm might be.

“Great. That makes it a lot easier. My computer will take a couple seconds to hack into it and then I’ll take a look at everything,” Kirk said as he turned to look at Miles. “If she is your girl, you need to have a better conversation about safety and security on her phone.”

“I know,” he growled. “Just find whatever you can. I need to know where she is and who took her.”

Miles knew once she was rescued and with him, he was never going to let her go. He was going to make sure she was well taken care of, safe, knew the risks, knew she had security, and had everything she ever needed.

He wasn't going to give her a choice.
