She shouldn’t be thinking about how much she loved when he carefully picked her up or that he was speaking to her softly as if she could get scared easily or was fragile. She loved that he was those things with her but not with others.

Well, the only people she’d seen him in front of was Rogan, Hedda, the two guards, Anita, and Angelo. Storm had no clue if he was soft in front of them, but he hadn’t shown it when she was there. He was hard and cold.

“I’m going to place you on the couch,” Miles said as he walked into the house.

It didn’t take long for him to reach the couch and gently place her down. It was comfortable and she felt herself sink down and relax. She could fall asleep right here.

“Do you need anything?” he asked.

Storm opened her eyes and looked at him, shaking her head. “I just want to be left alone right now,” she whispered.“But Mika would be nice,” she muttered quietly under her breath.

“Before I leave, I wanted to give you your stuffie. Is this Mika? I bet you could use a friend right now and she was getting lonely,” Miles said as he handed her the stuffed elephant.

Storm nodded her head. She wanted her stuffie to snuggle with while she tried to wrap her brain around everything.

She had no idea where he got Mika from, but she was guessing from the table behind the couch. He had briefly walked over there after he had placed her on the couch.

“Thank you.” She hugged Mika close to her body.

“Welcome.”

She didn’t want to be rude but at the same time she still wanted to be left alone. She wasn’t here because she wanted to be, she was here because he told her she was going to be. There was a difference and right now she needed time to think things through.

Wrapping her brain around everything that had just happened and what may happen in the future was going to take some time.

Would Hedda be able to visit her here? She knew Hedda was best friends with Miles, but that didn’t mean anything. He could tell her no and keep her all to himself, secluding her from everything.

“I’ll be in the kitchen, but I’ll still have my eye on you so don’t think about doing anything,” he said. “You just sit here and relax. If you need anything, yell my name and I’ll come help you.”

“Okay,” she whispered.

She watched him walk behind her and into the kitchen. She took a couple seconds to calm down before starting to look around.

The walls were an off white. There were no pictures hanging on the walls and there was barely any furniture in the living room. The TV sat on a stand in front of her with a recliner in the corner to her right and a loveseat to her left.

But everything else was barren, like he hadn’t lived here a long time.

How long had he lived here? Was this just how he was? Or was he bad at picking stuff out and didn’t want to ruin anything?

She didn’t think that was the problem. She hadn’t met many guys in her life, but from what she’d heard, a lot of them didn’t pick anything out for their houses.

“Do you want to go take a nap in the crib?” Miles asked when he walked back into the room. “I’m making some food so it’ll be a little while.”

She shrugged her shoulders, but could feel herself falling asleep on the couch.

“Come on, you’ll be more comfortable in a crib,” he said as he gently picked her up.

Storm held tightly to Mika as he started to walk toward the nursery. It was a soft blue color, but she didn’t pay much attention as sleep was heavy on her eyes.

“Such a good girl,” he whispered as he lay her down in the crib.

She felt him put a blanket over her body. Exhaustion weighing her down, Storm closed her eyes and fell asleep, not even noticing when Miles applied the first suppositories.

“Come on, Stormy,”the voice said. “You know you want to stay with me. You know you want me to ravish that body and give you all the pleasure in the world.”

“I don’t know,” she softly responded. “I have a life to live.”
