She hadn’t realized she was doing that.

When Storm was a kid, she was good at hiding things, but Miles seemed to see right through that. And she didn’t know how. It didn’t make any sense how he could.

Maybe she had felt comfortable enough to not hide her emotions? That didn’t make any sense because Storm was comfortable around her parents and she still hid things from them.

Hedda’s phone went off and she blushed when she read it. What could that be about?

“Why are you blushing?” Storm asked.

She shook her head, quickly typed on her phone, and put it away.

“Come on!” Storm said. “You can’t blush like that and not tell me.”

Hedda looked down at her hands before she looked back up at Storm.

“Well, Miles’ sister, Monroe, her Daddy is one of the owners of a club. She introduced me to two people,” Hedda whispered. “I’ve never met Monroe or the two guys before, but I’ve been talking and FaceTiming with Monroe for a while and she said she had the perfect guys for me. I’m not fucking sure if this is real or not. I’m not pushing it or really expecting anything out of it.”

“That’s so cool! Are these guys Doms?” Storm asked.

“They are. They’re Daddy Doms.”

Silence filled the room as they looked at each other. She hadn’t known Hedda for a long, but she knew she deserved to be happy.

“When are you going to meet them in person?” Storm asked.

Hedda shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know. Maybe never. They’ve been wanting to FaceTime or meet in person, but I’ve shot it down.”

“Maybe you should FaceTime them.”

“Fuck no. I like what we’re doing right now. Just fucking texting.”

Storm dropped it. She didn’t want to aggravate Hedda anymore. She was already starting to curse some and she knew the longer Storm talked about this, the worse it was going to get.

“How are you doing?” Hedda asked. “Has Miles been treating you right?”

Storm looked at Hedda as she sat down next to her. Should she tell Hedda everything or should she keep some of her thoughts to herself?

“If he hasn’t been, I’ll tell Rogan and he’ll kick his ass. Well, I’ll need to fucking know what he did to see if he actually was treating you right or wrong, but if my brother doesn’t do anything then I definitely fucking will,” Hedda said. “You know I will. He may be my best friend, but we’re best friends, too, and you’re important to me. I don’t want to lose you.”

She felt warm inside as Hedda continued to talk. She didn’t realize how much Hedda meant to her until now.

“He’s been treating me right,” she softly said.

“Well, tell me everything he’s done!” Hedda said. “I need to know.”

Storm blushed a little. She couldn’t help it.

“Ahhhh, the blush!” Hedda screamed. “Telllll meeee!!!”

“It’s really nothing,” Storm replied. “He’s been taking care of me. Making sure I’m comfortable and not bored. He makes sure I get some naps in, get a bath, plenty of food, get my meds, and go to bed on time.”

Hedda was smiling great big at her.

“It’s really nothing. Right after he finishes whatever he was doing for me, he gives me space. He leaves the room and goes to his office where I don’t see him until he magically knows I need something,” Storm said. “It’s almost like he has cameras around here, but I haven’t been able to find any.”

“If he did, you wouldn’t be able to find them,” Hedda said. “But it also may be the baby monitor with the camera in it on the table right there.”

Storm looked over and realized there indeed was a baby monitor pointing directly at her.
