As much as that saddens me, it also makes me happy that I am the first one to do it. I hope it’s not a weird thing to call a man beautiful, but he is. He is the epitome of beauty.

“Those words were patiently waiting for me to come along.”

He opens the passenger door for me, and kisses my forehead before slowly pushing me inside. I watch him with literal hearts popping out of my eyes as he closes it and walks around the car to sit in the driver seat.

I wish I never let him go, not for a single moment. Fuck the world and everyone in it. We have lost so much time.

Thank you, Ronan.

“Where to, Ljubavi?” He says, grabbing my thigh, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“ToThe Crown. We have a table there.”

“Fancy,” he says, winking at me and stepping on the gas.

His palm caresses bare skin on my leg in slow, lazy circles. As we reach the restaurant, my mind is swirling with the idea of ditching the dinner and begging him to go back home, just so I could hold him. No sex, no nothing. I just want to have him in my arms and run my fingers through his hair.

He puts the car in park, and glances at his hand touching me. No words leave his mouth as he steps out. Rounding it quickly, he opens the door for me.

“M’ lady,” he chuckles, and I chuckle with him.

I do feel like a lady.Hemakes me feel like a lady. Not only that, he makes me feel like a woman. He worships me and the ground I walk on, and touches me with such care and love. It’s like he is pouring everything he has into it.

Taking my hand, he locks the car, and we slowly stride to the entrance.

It looks so sophisticated and preppy. For a second I doubt my choice of restaurant. I feel like I don’t belong here, with all my tattoos peeking out of the slit down my thigh, and the piercings hidden by my dress. This thing I am feeling right now, that’s years and years of listening to Christine belittling me, and I know it.

“Let’s go, my gorgeous girl.” Noah says, like he can sense I am struggling.

“Let’s go.”

The man at the door greets us with a wide smile, and takes my name.

“Mrs. Robinson, table thirteen awaits you and your husband. My coworker will take you to it.” He nods to the tiny woman sitting on the chair behind the desk.

“Thank you, sir.” Noah says, pulling me towards the woman. He didn’t correct him.

“Follow me, please,” she says and starts walking in front of us.

We walk through the hall, big and luxurious. This is a rich people's place. Everything is white marble and gold, but I wasn’t prepared for the setting at our table.

The woman leaves us, as Noah pulls my chair while I gawk at the gorgeousness in front of me. Our table sits next to the floor to ceiling window, overlooking the small river that runs through our town and a big, dark oak forest behind it. A huge vase full of red roses sits at the opposite side of the window, and small white candles decorate the middle of the table, two sets of plates and silverware in its line. Tiny pearls fill the space in between.

“I did not expect this,” Noah says. ”Everything is so beautiful. I can’t comprehend the fact that a small town like this has a place so fancy. Like, myfancy was an understatement.”

“I mean, you knew it was fancy, but I don’t think either of us expected this level of fanciness.” I smile at him once he sits down across from me.

His eyes roam all over my body, and I feel so warm, like I am wrapped up in a fluffy sweater.

“Excuse me, I just can’t stop looking at you. You…fuck, Jesus I forgot how to speak.” he clears his throat, and I blossom under his gaze. “You always look like a goddess, but tonight…”

“Tonight is our first date, baby.” I coo, “I wanted it to be special, I wanted to look special.”

“Youarespecial. To me.”

I am stunned. I can’t speak. My mouth is dry and I keep swallowing nothing. Thankfully, a waitress comes to greet us, so I can pick myself up a bit.
