It had been lovely, but lonely, for too long. Now he got to enjoy everything he had built, everything he had done, with her.

True happiness.

Leah captured his lips again, this time in a kiss that seared straight into his Light. Her lust for him pulsed against his energy, beckoning him closer.

Yes. He wanted her. All of her.

As if sensing his thoughts, Leah moaned, her hands pulling at his shoulders.

As gently as he could, Taryn kneeled on the ground, Leah still firmly in his embrace. He laid her down gently on the soft grass in his own personal paradise. Since he’d met her, he had been fantasizing about having her in his own bed, but this was so much better. This garden truly was his refuge. The place where he could feel alive and safe. Now it would be the location tinged with the most beautiful memories of Leah.

“This feels amazing.” She closed her eyes, nuzzling her cheek against the grass. Her palms left his shoulders for the briefest moment, so she could feel the Earth underneath her fingertips. A wave of delight coursed through her energy. “I love this place.”

A shiver coursed down Taryn’s spine. Perhaps, someday soon, he would hear those words directed at him. He longed for the moment she would say that to him, and mean it in every possible way.

He wanted to say the same thing to her.

The garden grabbed Leah’s attention only for a saic. Then she wrapped her arms around Taryn’s neck once again, pulling him down on top of her. Beautiful.

Her soft hips cradled his, her legs coiling around him, like she never wanted to let him go. Taryn didn’t either.

They fit right.

They felt right.

Everything was heightened when he was with her. Like every emotion was turned to its maximum capacity. Like he’d never felt until he’d known her, not really.

Their energies meshed and fused at the edges, drawing them into each other and cocooning them both.

Her nimble fingers pulled his tunic off in one move. His talons did quick work of the harsh fabrics that caged her glorious soft flesh.

Even though only Taryn’s hands could Ignite, touching her naked body with his inflamed him whole. It was the sweetest sensation, palms roaming over her curves, tongue lapping at her delectable neck, her soft moans echoing in his ear.

Paradise.

And when she mumbled, “I want you”, with such unrestrained passion, it zapped straight through his Light, Taryn was a few short breaths away from losing control. Very un-Quillon of him, in every way.

“But we need to talk about protection,” she whispered, her hands already pulling at his pants. It seemed she would have torn them to shreds if she’d had the strength.

His brow symbols furrowed. “You are protected.”

Had he not made that fact obvious enough? By his side, nobody could touch her.

“No, no.” Her unrestrained laughter filled the space, intertwining with the breeze, so it flowed throughout the whole garden. “I meant protection like condoms. So we won’t have a lil’ horned human-Quillon in nine months.”

All of a sudden, Taryn wanted that. A small youngling, from him and Leah. If he closed his eyes, he could picture her belly swollen with his seed, happy and glowing while his talons caressed her, talking aboutba-bynames that would fit in both their languages.

Taryn snapped out of that reverie as soon as it appeared. Later. They would have time to talk about their family later.

The translator gave him the barest information on what acon-domwas. Quillons used something similar—cieclles ago. They’d since discovered a treatment both parties had to take once a year, and he was almost certain something similar would be used on Terra soon.

But he and Leah didn’t require that.

“Our anatomies aren’t one hundred percent compatible,” he said. “We cannot reproduce without aid, and we carry no diseases which can be transmitted between our species.”

“Music to my ears. So we’re all set in the baby front.” Her smile widened, before she got a far-away look in her eyes. “What about the thought front?”

It was a weird way of asking, but Taryn got her meaning. They were touching, their energies pulsed against each other, it was normal for her to wonder if he would read her thoughts, as hazy as his skill was.
