Cora:*Gif calling the kettle black*

I smile.

"Avery!"

I blink and look up at him. "Sorry. Girl talk."

"What do you mean?"

"My sister's bet that I would end up sleeping with you."

"That's what you call girl talk?"

I shrug. "That's what the O'Bryan sisters call girl talk."

My phone buzzes again. I know it's probably to congratulate Cora.

"Want to get that?"

I shake my head. "We have to talk about your stalker."

"My stalker? Why do you think he's my stalker?"

I shrug. "It's your family home, and you are known for staying here."

"But you rented it, and he showed up a few days after you."

"How would he know that I lived here?"

"The lease."

"And how would he find out about the lease? No, I think this might have to do with your family. Specifically, you. Didn't you work for the CIA?"

He settles his hands on his hips, and his frown turns darker. My nipples go hard. Jesus, I'm forever going to get hot now when I see a frowning hot guy. "Where did you hear that?"

"Oh, you know, around."

He rolls his eyes. "I did work for the government to get seed money for my company."

"You're rich."

He gets what my comment meant without missing a beat. "I wanted to make it on my own."

Of course, he did. He is the antithesis of his father, from what I understand. His mother raised a good man.

"You're so sexy."

His cheeks turn ruddy. "Stop trying to change the subject."

I can't help it. I love pushing his limits, and this is one of those limits. Granted, he talks dirty in the bedroom. Still, he blushes a little whenever I mention anything about it outside of it. And that just makes me want to jump his bones.

I have no idea why, but it's just something that seems to get me going. I think it's the yin and the yang of it.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

I rise out of the chair and saunter over to him. "I told ya. You're sexy."

"We're talking about the guy you think is stalking me."
