He lifted his head to look at me. His eyes were intense and sincere. They were glowing in the moonlight, and they made me so grateful to be here with him.

“I think everything has worked out how it was supposed to.”

“Why do you say that?”

“I think if I had met you five years ago, I wouldn’t have appreciated who you are. The wonderful, intelligent, thoughtful person you are.”

I paused for a moment, trying to figure out what he meant by that.

“I’m just glad we found each other now. That’s all.”

I smiled down at him and kissed his lips. He grabbed onto my hips and held me tight. Underneath me, I could feel that he was getting more and more worked up. The firmness beneath my warmth was growing with each second, and I really couldn’t believe that I was about to have sex on a beach. In the middle of the night. At my best friend’s wedding. What a crazy life.

“Are you sure you want to do this out here? We could go back up to the suite.”

“This was all part of the plan.”

“Ah yes, I know how you feel about ruined plans.”

I glared at him, but couldn’t resist a smile. He pulled me back down to him and kissed me again. I lifted my hips so he could slide inside me, and the warmth from his skin was searing against mine.

He kissed me with intensity and passion. Like it was our last night on earth and he had to savor every second of it. I didn’t mind. I only wanted more of him.

I sat up and started gently bouncing on top of him, and he arched his back as I moved. His fingers crept their way up my sides from my hips to my breasts, where he played with my nipples as I squirmed.

A moment later, Dylan sat up and pulled me into him. We were chest-to-chest, and somehow already completely covered in sand. He breathed heavily into my ear as our bodies rocked back and forth with one another. I wrapped my legs around his back and gasped for air.

“Dylan,” I breathed.

“Yeah?”

I couldn’t get another word out as one of his hands found my breast and the other reached between us to get between my legs. I was on the brink of ecstasy, but I didn’t want it to stop. I pressed my hips further and further into his, forcing him deeper inside me.

I bit down on Dylan’s neck and he let out a loud yelp of delight. Egged on by his enthusiasm, I moved faster and faster until he was moaning my name with every thrust. With both of us on the edge of paradise, all it took was one final thrust of his hips upward to send us over the edge.

We held onto each other for a long time, and eventually cuddled into place on our wet, sandy towels. Dylan’s fingers drew gentle circles on my arm as we laid there together, watching the sky start to get light with the first signs of day.

DYLAN

“Grace. Grace!” I said, trying to shake her awake.

She groggily opened her eyes to look at me, and offered a gentle smile. I was in awe. How could someone look so utterly perfect, especially after spending the night on a sandy beach. Her hair waved gently in the breeze, and the rising sun on her skin made it glow.

“Did you get any sleep?” she muttered.

I pulled her into my chest, not wanting this perfect morning to end.

“Some…probably not enough for the day we have ahead of us.”

“Me too,” she said with a sleepy grin.

“I hate to do this, but…”

“Oh no, what is it? Did I snore? Did I kick sand on you? What did I do?”

I couldn’t help but smile.
