“I thought that if the Elementals found their mate, they had to bond with them?” my question is directed at Haldor, but it is Tal that replies.

“Our mates are the light in our life, when we find her, we are pulled towards her with an internal pull that is very hard to ignore. The only time that we don’t bond with our mate is if she rejects us, but that has been very rare. I don’t think that the reason that Tor hasn’t mated is because of his woman rejecting him as I don’t even think she knows he’s around.”

“He must be fighting such a hard internal battle with himself in keeping away from her,” Dane recaps. The explanation has my curiosity spiking at the reason why someone like Tor that seems bigger than life would be keeping away from his mate.

“Someone at the gate,” a man with prospect on his kutte says as he steps into the kitchen.

“Who is it?” Dane asks as he stands.

“Says he’s a reporter,” the prospects revelation has Tal grunt in annoyance.

“Tell him to fuck off,” Dane orders as he walks towards the coffee machine.

“He says you will want to speak to him,” the prospects insist, “sounds like he knows something.”

“Really, well then let’s go see what this fucker could know that is so important.” Haldor mutters as he stands, leans over to kiss me gently on the lips before turning and heading out with the prospect following him.

“Do you think there is a problem?” I ask worriedly.

“Don’t worry sweetheart, there is always someone wanting something.” Tal states as he stands, “I’ll go see who this asshole is.”

“I’ll come with you.” Asger calls as he also stands to walk out with Tal.

“We were going into Town today; would you like to come with us?” Violet asks as she picks up her dishes to take to the sink.

“Umm, I’m not sure what Haldor has planned for today.” I know that they want to find out more about my family, but I don’t know if they need anything else from me or if that was all that was required for now.

“Haldor and the rest of us are going out later, I think its fine to say that you can go with the other girls and enjoy yourself.” Dane says, “I’m going to go and get everything ready, when I see Haldor I’ll let him know if you like?”

I nod with a smile, “thank you,”

“Yay, looks like we will all be having a girl’s day out.” Freya claps excitedly, “I’ll go tell the others to get ready.” They both look so excited that I feel myself getting eager, I have never been on a girls day out as there always had to be a family member accompanying me when we were out. To be able to just enjoy my freedom without worrying about doing something wrong is refreshing.

I can’t lie, I miss my family, but I have been craving for this freedom for so long that the distance doesn’t seem so bad.

“Have you got Haldor’s card?” Violet asks as she comes to stand before me, I shake my head in confusion, what card is she referring to?

“Don’t worry, I’ll go get it.” Before I can ask her what card she is referring to, she is walking out of the kitchen.

“What card does she want?” I ask.

Freya grins as she raises her hand to rub her thumb and index finger together, “she means the money card sweetie, all of us use their cards when we go out.” Before she finishes the sentence, I am shaking my head, there is no way that I can use Haldor’s money, he will be upset.

“I can’t use his money, whatever would he think.” Freya looks at me in surprise and then smiles as she holds out her hand to me.

“Come on, let’s get out of here and I will explain something to you.” Taking her hand she pulls me off my chair and out the kitchen door, down the corridor until we are standing outside the main door of the Club. “Look around,” at her words I frown in confusion but glance around to see the building that they call the club, it is a huge structure, solid. Surrounding the club is a wooded area that I am excited to explore. The front of the club is a wide-open area that is clearly where the men park their bikes and more. I see a few tables to the side of the club and what looks like a barbeque area. In the far distance I can see the wall that surrounds the club and to the right is the gates where we rode through, when I got here.

“What do you see?” she asks

I shrug, I’m not sure what she wants me to say, “The Club?” I ask hesitantly which has her laugh in amusement.

“Yes, but what I’m trying to say is that this all belongs to the Elementals” she states as she raises her hand waving it around the area. “Not just this but half the Town belongs to them.” She strokes a strand of my hair back from my face as she continues. “They have been around for a very long time; they have more money than they know what to do with it.”

I now understand why she took me outside and what she is trying to tell me, but it doesn’t make a difference because I can’t just use their money. “It’s their money, not mine.”

“You are now married to Haldor; he will be hurt if you don’t accept his money.” Freya takes my hand to guide me towards a bench. “If you are mated to an Elemental, he takes care of you in every way and that includes every need.” I know what she’s saying but I have been brought up to work and help my family, to now have someone else give me that money that I might need doesn’t sound right.

“We are ready” I turn my head to see the other girls walking towards the SUV, I’m not sure if I should leave without saying anything to Haldor. I look around trying to see if I can catch a glimpse of him to go and let him know, but he is nowhere to be seen. He did say that I was to do what I wanted, that this was my home, and I wasn’t a prisoner here, therefore there shouldn’t be a problem if I go with the others into town.
