“We don’t know,” Haldor replies with a shrug.

Violet suddenly claps her hands, “uuu…Tor mated, this will be fun. I must tell Zane.”

“No” Tal snaps suddenly which has my gaze shooting to him. “Tor doesn’t want anyone to know, so we are not going to tell anyone. Are we?” his eyes are hard as he looks at his mate, I see her stiffen but she shakes her head.

“I don’t understand what the problem is,” she mutters.

“It’s his life, just leave it alone.” Tal replies which has her sniffing in annoyance.

“Morning,” Freya calls as she walks into the kitchen followed by Dane. “It smells really good in here, is there any for us?”

“Of course, if Tal doesn’t eat it all.” Violet teases which has Dane slapping Tal on the shoulder playfully.

“Hey dude, how about leaving some for the rest of us.” Dane quips as he takes a seat on Tal’s right-hand side. Freya has walked towards the fridge to pour herself a glass of orange juice before coming to sit next to her mate. I can only imagine when everyone is here around the table how it could be, everyone seems to get along well which surprises me because in my experience when you have too many people around each other for long periods of time they usually fight.

“So Druza, has Haldor here made you want to strangle him yet?” Dane asks as he inclines his head towards Haldor, at the same time taking the filled plate of food that Freya is holding up for him. I smile, as before he can place the plate before himself Haldor has stolen a sausage from his plate. “Hey!” Dane shouts, “you have already eaten.”

“That’s for inciting my mate with violence against me.” Haldor says with a wink as he continues eating his sausage. Dane grins as he shakes his head in amusement.

“Just ignore them,” Freya jokes with a grin, “and they will finally leave.”

“Hey,” Dane roars playfully, “my own woman against me,”

“With an ugly mug like yours, who blames her,” Tal snickers, “mine never wants me to go.”

“That’s what you think!” Violet says with a wink which has Tal raising both his brows at her in playful warning.

“It’s really good to see you smiling brother,” looking towards the man leaning against the kitchen door, I notice that I haven’t been introduced to this one before.

“Oh no, you are back.” Dane mutters with a grin which has the man lifting his hand and showing him the finger. “You see what happens when you go away, Haldor finds his mate.” At Dane’s teasing the man’s eyes clash with mine, which has me feeling as if he has just prodded my very soul and extracted every detail from me.

“Asger, it’s about fucking time you fucker.” Tal says as he stands up and walks towards Asger to give him a burly hug.

“Asger has been away for a couple of months, he was doing some work for the Elemental’s founding chapter.” Violet explains quietly to me.

“Come and sit with us Bro, tell us all about your adventures.” Dane calls waving his fork towards the chair on Violets opposite side.

“Let me get myself a coffee and I’ll come and sit down.” Asger says as he makes his way toward the counter where the coffee machine is situated.

“Druza, that there is Asger he is the voice of reason in the club.” Haldor introduces.

“Asger, my mate.” Asger inclines his head in greeting as he takes a seat. There is something about this man that gives me the impression that he knows more than he says.

“Where are the others?” Asger asks.

“Well, let’s say that you won’t believe it even if we tell you.” Tal quips, his statement has Asger raise a brow in question.

“They are patrolling a farmhouse.” Haldor explains.

“Why?”

“Tor’s mate is there,” Asger’s surprised look is unmistakable, he looks from Haldor to Dane to Tal before looking back at Haldor.

“What the fuck, it’s not as if I have been gone for that long.” He mutters as he shakes his head, “anyone else found his mate while I was gone?”

“He hasn’t bonded with her,” Haldor clarifies which has me curious why Haldor would bond with me but Tor has stayed away from his mate.

“Why?” Asger asks, but Haldor’s only answer is a shrug.
