“Now?” I ask with a raised brow which has Tor grunting.
“You want a party first?” he says sarcastically.
I don’t hesitate, instead I place my hands around the fucker’s neck squeezing as I look deep into his eyes seeing the fear in them. “This is for all the women you tortured and killed, but you will die because you killed my sister.”
He tries to grab my hands pulling uselessly at them to try and free the pressure around his throat. I continue to squeeze until his eyes are lifeless and his body goes limp, falling to the ground. “Call the Prospect to place him in the grate, I will burn him when we are finished here.” Tor orders which has Asger that is sitting closer to the door standing to do his bidding.
“Now, for what’s important,” he says, “the cops are about to arrive, they want to question us and have a warrant to search the club.” The others start to argue as this is the first that they are hearing about this occurrence.
“The JHB chapter has already been breached and some of the brothers taken in,” he reveals as he looks around, “Draco has ordered us to leave without being captured, the chopper will be here soon where we will have the women leaving first.”
“Fuck me,” Dag growls, “are we just going to abandon everything without a fight?”
“If we fight, we are confirming their suspicions, for now they don’t have any concrete evidence.” Tor explains. His jaw tense as he raises his hand to rub the palm of his hand against his eyes. “We will stand our ground until we are all able to leave the club, in the meantime we will destroy anything and everything that can give us away.”
“Where are we all going to?” Colborn asks, “The Natura Club isn’t big enough for everyone.”
“We have a place in the mountains that we have maintained for the eventuality that something like this might happen.” His revelation has most of us surprised as we didn’t have any idea that there are any provisions for this.
“Is it big enough for everyone?” Dane asks as he leans forward to place his elbows on the table.
“Yes, for now it will be ideal, and no one will find us there,” He confirms. “Tal, Haldor and Dag, I want you to concentrate in getting the women on the chopper and out of here quickly.” I grunt in reply hearing the others also acknowledging the order.
“Colborn, Dane and Asger you will take the Prospects and find everything that can implicate us and destroy it.”
“The rest of us will guard the club until its time to leave.” Looking around I see the sadness in the others faces as we realize that after so many years, we are having to leave our home and run.
“This is fucking messed up,” Ulrich roars angrily.
“Yes, but we don’t have a choice at the moment.” Tor states as he suddenly bangs his hand on the table and stands, “okay enough of this, we don’t have much time get to it.”
We stand making out way out of the meeting room and towards the interior of the club to make sure that we are as prepared as we can possibly be. “I will find the ones that are in their rooms and get them to hurry up and pack a small bag” Tal says as he heads towards where all the rooms are situated.
“I’ll go look outside if any of them are there,” Dag says as he heads outside, leaving me to look through the rest of the club and make sure that all the women are informed and ready. Walking into the kitchen I find Esmeralda and Freya.
“I need you to pack a bag with anything that you might need and get ready to leave at any moment,” my sudden announcement has both women stop what they were doing as they stare at me in surprise. “come on, we don’t have much time,” to their credit they don’t argue and simply hurry out of the kitchen and towards their rooms.
I want to go and find Druza, but I know that if she’s in our room that Tal will make sure that she packs. Walking into the Bar area I see that it’s empty, the only other place to look is the interior swimming pool and gym. As I walk through the club my heart feels heavy as I think of all the years that we have spent at the Club, all the sadness and happiness that these walls have seen.
It is sad to just leave, but we can’t take any chances as there is more than just us to think about,” after confirming that the swimming pool is empty, I make my way towards the room to find Druza looking frazzled as she hurriedly throws items into a traveling bag.
“What’s happening?” she asks when I walk in.
“Soon the cops will be here to take us into questioning, we need to get away before they get a chance to capture any of us.” My revelation has her raising her fist to her chest, a worried expression on her face.
“Will we all manage to leave?” she asks.
“Yes, but we need to hurry,” she nods continuing her hurried packing. I walk towards my wardrobe to pull out the small pouch that I have kept, guarded in safety hoping that one day I would find my mate to give it to her. I wish that it was at a more appropriate time, but this moment will have to do.
Pulling out the beautiful Opal, smaller than mine but just as beautiful I hold the gold chain up for Druza to see. “That is beautiful,” she murmurs as she zips up the bag.
I walk up to her, holding my index finger under her chin. I raise her head, so she is looking at me. “I give you a part of my essence to protect and enhance your energy. By wearing this Opal, you will always have a piece of me with you. You are now part of my blood, my soul, my very essence. I ask that you wear this always to remind you of our bond and the love that I hold for you.”
There are tears in her eyes as I pull her hair to the side as I clasp the chain with the stone around her beautiful neck. “Why are you giving me this now, aren’t you going to come with me?” her words are choked with tears.
“No, no don’t think that” I appease as I lower my head to kiss her forehead gently, “I will follow you, we will not be separated.” She raises her hand to my cheek, stroking lovingly as she leans forward to kiss me.
“I love you!” it’s the first time I tell her how I feel, but it’s important that she know that she is the most important part of my life. “you are everything to me, if you were gone then all the light in my life would be gone. I cherish you with every fiber of my being.”
