As soon as I moved my hips faster, rocking back and forth, his fingers returned to my clit and stroked me slowly, back and forth. I wanted to close my eyes and chase the pleasure hovering just out of reach.

“Keep your eyes on me.”

And so I did. We both grew sweaty and hot and panted, but soon I whimpered, knowing if West only stroked me a little harder, I’d come. “Please. Harder.”

“Grip me, Emilia.”

I obeyed, and then he pinched my clit. Pleasure coursed through my body as lights danced before my eyes. West tensed and groaned, his hand on my waist gripping me tighter as he found his release.

Once my spasms stilled, I slumped against him. West wrapped his arms around me and kissed my temple. “Fuck, that was amazing, Emilia.”

I smiled and played with some of his chest hair. “You weren’t too bad yourself.”

His chuckle rumbled beneath my ear. “Considering you were so fucking wet you were dripping before you rode me, I think I was pretty fucking fantastic.”

“Cocky.”

“You talking about my cock again already?”

I snorted. “You sure you don’t need that hearing aid?”

He lightly slapped my ass. “I may have a few gray hairs, but you benefit from my patience, Emilia.” His voice turned husky. “Remember that one night, when I kept you on the edge for an hour?”

I squirmed, and despite my recent orgasm, my pussy throbbed again. “That was just mean, and I still haven’t had a chance to get you back for that.”

He lazily stroked my back, my ass, my hip, and the action soothed me. “You’ll have your chance before…”

“Before what?”

He paused before replying, “Nothing.”

I propped my chin on his chest so I could look at his face. “Don’t say ‘nothing’ because clearly it’s something.”

Searching my eyes, he asked, “Have you thought about how things will change once your big wedding is finished and we tell my kids about us?”

We’d sort of skirted around this conversation, for the most part. I knew things would be different, but my focus had been trying to get to know West better first.

Not wanting to freak him out, I kept my tone casual. “Of course things will change. I imagine Avery will constantly ask if we’re getting married or if I’ll be over for sleepovers, or anything goes, really.”

“Yes, I’m worried about the same thing.”

I sat up so I could better see his face. “Maybe we should think of what to say or how to handle it. The last thing I want to do is put pressure on you, but given Avery’s romantic nature, she might try.”

West sat up, pulled me onto his lap, and cupped my cheek. “I wouldn’t be averse to sleepovers once in a while, provided you can keep quiet.”

My heart thumped at his words. “Truly? You want me around that much?”

“Of course I do. And my kids already love you. We’ll take it slow, but I also want to see how we all handle being in close quarters.”

Was he really implying that maybe, just maybe, one day he’d want to move in together? Or even get married?

I was both happy and reluctant at the idea. Trying to accept I deserved happiness, that I hadn’t caused so much pain to my family, and that I could care for and maybe even love someone without losing them was still difficult sometimes.

Stroking my cheek with his thumb, West murmured, “Where did you go, Emilia?”

“I’m here. Just thinking.”

“About?”
