I reached her house and went inside, straight to the bathroom. After cleaning up a little, I exited and heard, “West, come into the kitchen!”

Emmy’s voice was a mixture of excitement and nervousness. As soon as I entered the room, she held out a letter to me. “This came for you at the Wolfe place. Your aunt signed for it. I think it’s to do with the court case.”

Frowning, I took the envelope. “I thought Leila would’ve let us know of any updates.”

Leila Hassan was the lawyer I’d hired.

“Just open it and see what it says already!”

I did and scanned the letter. And then read it again.

Emmy stood at my side, trying to see what was in the letter. “Well?”

I finally found my voice. “The case has been dismissed.”

After handing her the paper, I tried to process what I’d just read. The fight was finally over. Even if they tried again, the proof they’d lied and used false videos against me meant my kids and I should be safe.

Emmy gasped. “Leila proved the videos were deepfakes and that your relationship with me was aboveboard. Given everything, the case was thrown out.” She looked up at me. “We won!”

She jumped into my arms, and I swung her around and around. When I finally stopped, I pulled her close and kissed her.

Emmy kissed me back, and I put all my relief and love and gratitude into it. When we both finally caught our breath, I murmured, “We’re now free to plan our life together, Emmy.”

She smiled at me. “We were kind of doing that already. But yes, now we don’t have to sayifwe can do something but rather when.” She cupped my cheek. “After all these years, we both finally get to move forward and go after our dreams without anything holding us back.”

“I love you so much, Emilia.”

“And I love you, West.” She kissed me and then stepped away. “And I have a surprise, one I was saving for this moment.”

I was about to say she didn’t need to do that, but she raced out of the room and soon returned, carrying a small rectangular box. “Here.”

After opening it, I took out one of the business cards that read “Weston Wolfe, Starry West Ranch.”

“I knew you didn’t like the Starry Dreams Ranch name, and since my wedding business is tied to that name, I thought maybe you needed a new one. Do you like it? I can get them redone if you hate it.”

“I fucking love it. Come here.”

I pulled her against me and kissed her, long and deep. “With the case over and a new name for our ranch, I’m going to have to work hard to make everything happen sooner rather than later. It might mean I get sweaty and dirty and will need lots of showers.”

Amusement danced in her eyes. “Oh, we can’t have you going all the way to the Wolfe house to clean up, can we? I think you need to take them here. And I’ll make sure to help you reach your back too.”

“Will you, now?”

“Imagine my hands nice and slippery from the soap, running up your back, your shoulders, and even down to your tight ass. Up and down, over and over again, until I was extra sure you were clean.”

My dick hardened at the image. “I think I need your help. Right now. Just to make sure you know what you’re doing.”

“Oh?”

I put the box of business cards down and then tossed Emmy over my shoulder. She squealed and laughed as I carted her up the stairs.

It didn’t take long for us to be naked and under the hot water, each of us making sure the other was clean, until I couldn’t resist and fucked her against the tile wall.

And on the bed. And in the chair.

We were finally free of any lingering doubts about the future. And I wanted to start this new path how I wished to go on—by cherishing my woman, making her scream my name, and ruining her for all other men. Because Emilia Mendoza was the future for me and my kids.

And soon she’d know just how much I wanted her there. Always.
