Leah hated the smug look on Julian’s face, so she did the only thing she could, and the thing she’d wanted to do since she discovered him in her room.

She kissed him with all the pent-up hunger and wanting that had been within her since the moment she laid eyes on him.

A dark and beastly growl made his chest tremble.

Whatever satisfaction she may have felt disappeared in a puff of smoke when he took over the kiss. He tasted like the rainforest, wild, unpredictable, and dangerous. Her blood turning to liquid fire, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders to hang on for dear life.

His mouth devoured hers with a primitive passion that branded her lips forever as his. Pleasure swam through her veins. He shifted to grab her thighs roughly and lift her up. The movement pushed up her dress, and she wrapped her legs around his waist. She gasped when his hard length brushed against her core.

Julian drank in her gasp as the elevator dinged and the door opened. There was a whoosh of air. Next thing she knew, her back hit the bed with his solid frame on top of her.

A whimper escaped her when he pulled away. His eyes glowed cobalt in the dark. She wanted more, more of his taste, his body. A growing hunger burned in her stomach. She untucked his shirt and slid her hands under, tracing the dips and curves of muscle.

He groaned, his eyelids fluttering. A sense of triumph swept through her.

God, she wanted him. She’d never craved anyone’s touch like this. Sure, she’d known sex was supposed to be pleasurable, for Dmitri loved it, but for her, it had always been an obligation. But with Julian, she wanted it to be more than just her job.

“You’re thinking,” Julian muttered, his voice husky.

No, she wasn’t. Fuck the Organization. Fuck obligations. She would take this for herself. Just once.

“And you’re doing too much talking.” She kissed him again.

Her fingers busied themselves with unbuttoning his shirt. She needed to feel his skin against hers. A breathy moan escaped her when his mouth trailed down her jaw to her neck. Teeth scraped her neck. She froze.

“I won’t bite you.” He licked her, sending a shaft of pleasure to her core.

“No biting.” She wasn’t quite ready for that yet.

“No biting,” he agreed and went back to nibbling her neck.

“Oh—” But his teeth felt so good!

Leah couldn’t think past the feel of him, the way his tongue licked up her neck, or the brawny body covering hers.

Something ripped. Cool air brushed over her chest. He’d torn off her dress and bra.

“Hey!” The protest turned into a needy groan when Julian nuzzled her breast. Stars blinked into her vision when he sucked her nipple. Dmitri had done this to her before, but it had evoked nothing like the electricity zapping through her from Julian’s touch.

Leah wasn’t sure how much more she could take. His mouth was hot against her skin. Her hands clutched his head as he suckled her, playing her expertly with his tongue. His hand pressed over her core, applying pressure at spots she wasn’t even aware of.

“Julian…” she moaned, the sound one of lust and unfulfilled desire.

He rose on one arm, his shirt unbuttoned to reveal the golden skin on his muscled chest. Her hips bucked against his, seeking fulfillment.

His blue gaze shone bright in the darkened room and looked right through to the deepest part of her, the part of her hidden from everyone.

“Say you’re mine.” His demand was a possessive growl.

“I…”

The words brought back a long-forgotten memory. A memory of another bed in another room. Another man demanding the same thing.

“You’re mine. Remember that.”

Dmitri’s voice shattered the pleasure haze. She was back in that room. That first time, with Dmitri. A memory buried so deep she wasn’t even sure it was real anymore.

Terror snaked up her throat. She wasn’t ready. She had to do this.
