“Shit,” Rook snorted. “Ididn’t get this much excitement.”

“Drake’s special!” she said indignantly. Thatdidn’thelp unscramble my brain, which felt like pudding right now. Of course, Rook had to ruin it.

“That’sfor sure—” he began, but grunted as Vex jolted slightly, still clutching my shirt. I think she might have kicked him.

“If you were first, you’d be special,” she said, still not taking her eyes from me.

I grinned smugly, finally looking down at Rook.

“Firstwhat, exactly?” Rook folded his arms, glaring between us from where he lay on the floor.

Vex let me go at last as she began counting on her fingers. “First one to be nice. First one to say I love you—”

“She said it back,” I added quickly, heat creeping up my neck, but Vex was still ticking fingers off on her hand.

“First date. Firstice-creamdate. First fuck. First knot.Ever. Like, first knot ever. And it was sooo—” She cut off with a squeak. Rook had leaped to his feet and clamped a hand over her mouth and crushing her against his chest from which a low growl was vibrating. “Right. I got it, Baby Girl. Loud and clear.”

I was frozen all of a sudden, my gaze fixed on them. On the way Rook was drawing her against him. His gaze met mine with curiosity, then his touch landed on her hip and the hand clamped over her mouth dropped to her slender neck.

“Drake made you nest plans.” Rook lingered on those words and her pupils blew as her gaze snapped back to me. He leaned down, lips close to her ear. “But he doesn’t want to share.”

He tilted her chin up, exposing her neck. She was still watching me, cheeks pink, pupils blown.

The words, the motion, it sent me over the edge. I slipped fingers through her hair, and had Rook by the neck, slamming him back a few paces to the wall before I crushed her lips to mine.

When I drew back, Rook tried to move, but a growl slipped from my chest this time, and he froze again.

“Drake,” her voice was breathless as she tugged at my shirt. “Iwantthe plans.”

Right.

Yes.

“I’ll get them.”

I hurried from the room to grab my poster board.

I couldn’t help but notice, as I laid it out on the floor for her to look at, the incredibly pleased smile on Rook’s face.

VEX

It was the evening, and we were curled up in bed.

After filling both poster boards I was buzzing with excitement for all our plans. Rook and Drake had told me we were going to Nesting Needs tomorrow.

Rook was fixated on his phone, and when I peeked, I saw him scrolling @NestingGuru’s videos with laser focus. Drake’s phone kept pinging, and they’d shoot each other looks, all conspiratorial. I even saw Love and Ebony’s names in the texts, which meant the conspiracy was pack wide.

My alphas were going to take me to Nesting Needs. Not even the bandage on my wrist covering the foul fresh bite could ruin my excitement.

Fighting my smile, I curled up in their arms, Drake on one side, Rook on the other.

Ebony and Love, they were the claiming kind. We’d be battling who had claimed the other until the day we died, I was sure.

But Rook and Drake?

I held on tighter, my smile wide as I tumbled into sleep.

Theseboys were mine.
