At my words, her face goes serious. "So, they were just there protecting you? It wasn't really for fun? That sucks." She takes my hand and gives it a squeeze.

"Oh no, it was plenty fun. Apparently, their thing is to share a woman between the three of them, and it appears that I'm their dream girl."

Her eyes go wide, and her jaw just about hits the floor. So, I launch into the story. Starting with how I bumped into Brooks, our little playtime in Room 16, and ending with them bringing me back to the hotel with plans to pick me up for breakfast tomorrow.

"Holy shit, you didn't hold back, did you?" she says with a smile on her face. "Honestly, if you're okay and comfortable with it, I say go for it. I've had a crush on an older man for a long time, and I'd give anything for him to see me as more than just a little girl," she says her eyes not meeting mine.

"Do I know this guy?" I ask because this is news to me.

We share almost everything though we do have our secrets. I never told her how I felt about Brooks, Connor, and Finn and she hasn't told me about this older guy.

"Not really. And that's not the point. What matters is if he saw me as anything other than a child, I'd be ecstatic. But it sounds like you've been crushing on these guys for a little bit. You should go for it. If nothing else, have fun, and when you guys get home, you can act like nothing happened."

"Well, we're supposed to spend the day together tomorrow and talk. Are you all right being on your own tomorrow?"

This is supposed to be a trip for the two of us, and here I am abandoning her. If she says no, I won't go. But I also know in my gut she won't let me back out of spending the day with the guys either.

"Am I okay going out and exploring some of the museums that I know would bore you to death? While you're out with three hot guys living out a fantasy that I'm sure you've been harboring for a few years now? Yeah Ella, I'll be fine," she says with a laugh.

I'm glad she's fine with it because I don't think I would turn down spending the day with them even if she wasn't. Does that make me a bad friend?

Chapter 5

Connor

Noneofusgotmuch sleep last night. We were up talking about what had happened and how we saw us moving forward. Even though there's so much up in the air, we all agree we should not have touched her last night. But now that we have, there's no going back.

We thought we could get her out of our systems, but the need for her has only increased. With every minute bringing us closer to seeing her again, the need to see her grows even stronger. Since there are so many what ifs in the air, we agreed to see what comes out of today.

"Come on man, we're ready to go," I call to Brooks. He is still getting ready in front of the mirror in his part of the suite that we share.

"I'm coming. I'm surprised you're ready so early. We're normally waiting on you," he says.

Finn, who is waiting nearby just chuckles. It's true, but there's definitely something worth being ready early for today, and we all know it.

We head down, and Brooks drives us back to her hotel. Mostly because he knows his way around the city the best. He's always one of those people that once he drives a route one way he knows how to get there, and he doesn't forget. So when we are together without a driver he is the one who takes that role. I'm more than happy to let him. I can't stand fighting traffic in any city.

"So, for breakfast we're going to take her to that little cafe that we found earlier this week, right?" Brooks asks.

We have been to several times before now, and we always like to scout out little out of the way places. Places only the locals seem to know about.

"Yeah, then I thought we could show her around town. I think she'd like to see the French Quarter. She loves the history and architecture. Maybe a tour of the graveyards, and we'll see what else," I say.

All the way through dinner, we made plans, anticipating that she would want to stay with us all day. In the end, we decided to play it by ear. Hopefully she will want to spend the day with us. But if at any point she wants to go back to the hotel, we will be okay with that, too. The last thing we want to do is overwhelm her.

All of this, I'm sure, will be a lot to process. Though if I know Ella, she will want to talk to GiGi about it, and then she will need to try to figure it all out. We know she will need to and we are happy to give that time to her. Especially if the outcome is we get to have her as ours.

Once at the hotel, we all pause in front of the door before going in. We look at each other, knowing the complete seriousness of today. She could walk away and decide she wants nothing to do with us after our trip to New Orleans. Our goal is to make her want more by the time we get home to Chicago.

We head up to her room, and I knock on the door. It's silent for a few moments before we can hear the locks turning and she cracks the door open, and a smile lights up her whole face when she sees us.

"Good morning, baby girl," Brooks says. "Did you sleep well?"

"I slept okay. Gigi was here when I got back, and we talked a bit."

"About us, I assume," I say.

A blush coats her cheeks, but she nods.
