I’ll be damned if I cut this experience short, because it isn’t just the unbelievable feeling of having no barrier between us. It’s that this is the first time we’ve been together since Eli told me he loved me.

I need to hear him say it.

“Tell me again,” I order.

He begins rocking his hips, trying to get me to move. I clench my teeth, trying to hold myself back. “Tell me you love me again.”

Some of the lust clears from Eli’s eyes as he gives me a smile that spans his whole face. “I love you so much, Jeb,” he says, leaning up to kiss me. He pulls back and his smile fades into the demanding pout of the feral boy I first met. “Now fuck me like you love me, too.”

And I do. Pressing his back into the cool linen sheets, I start thrusting him into him at a mad, brutal pace as every nerve ending in my body seems to sync with Eli’s as we come together in a shared explosion.

Collapsing on him, I reach down and feel my cum leaking from his hole and feel a deep satisfaction that I’ve marked him in yet another way.

The fan above us is chilling on our seat soaked skin so I pull a sheet over us and gather Eli in my arms.Where he belongs.

“What next?” Eli asks against me.

“Give me a little bit, and then were going to do that again, but next time I’m going to take my time., maybe introduce you to edging.”

Eli’s skin flushes. I trace it as it travels over him. His eyes grow heavy with rekindled passion, but he stills my roaming hand. He points to the two of us. “Are we a couple now?”

I nuzzle his neck. “Yep and more.”

“More?”

“Partners. Boyfriends. Husbands.I don’t care. Call us whatever feels right.”

“Husbands?” Eli squeaks out.

“Sure. Why not?” I reply, not even a little scared of tying myself down with Eli. Hell, I want all the ties binding us together making sure my man never gets too far away from me again.

I thought I knew what I wanted. To be legendary. To pull off the biggest, baddest jobs around so no one would ever forget who I was. I will always love being a thief and pulling off impossible jobs. It’s who I am, but as long as Eli loves me, I don’t need to be infamous. As long as I have Eli in my arms, I have legendary on lockdown.

Epilogue

Eli

New Mexico— Eight Months Later

There are a lot of good thieves in the business, and a few great ones—but none of them are as legendary as Jebediah Ezekiel Jones—my boyfriend.

Did you hear the one about the job he pulled where he walked through fire? How about the one where he stole an airplane? Or my favorite story about the infamous thief—the one where he stole a lonely hacker’s heart and kept it for his own.

But Jebediah is more than a legend. He’s a man, and though he’ll never quite believe it, a really good one.

A month after Patriots Now went toppling down, my therapist recommended an intense outpatient treatment for victims of hate crimes located in New York. Jeb heard me turning it down and asked why.

“It’s in New York,” I scoffed. “Jebediah Ezekiel Jones doesn’t do large cities long term,” I said, knowing Jeb prefers smaller cities nearer to wide open spaces and maybe an ocean he can surf in.

“He does if Eli Baush is there,” he countered, and had us on a plane to New York that night.

To my surprise, Jeb loves New York and though he’s contributed to the city’s crime rate considerably, New York seems to love him right back.
