Max gave me one last hug before letting me go. I turned and walked over to Raider.
Other beings and humans bustled around us. Most of the crew was busy unloading costumes, props, and other items onto a transportation vehicle. This galaxy, unlike others, did not allow solarcars or cycles. Transporting everything to the venue would be a puzzle, but it wasn’t my problem this time.
The two of us stuck out like a sore thumb, but neither one of us cared. I was wearing a bejeweled western style shirt with a pair of jeans.
We were, in fact,thatcouple.
I liked matching what he wore. It was fun.
I giggled as I threw my arms around him. Raider grunted as he lifted me up, holding me to him. He pulled his hat off and set in on my head.
“Hey, sugar,” he said, smirking.
“Hey, cowboy.”
He chuckled. “How does it feel to finally be on vacation?”
“Strange,” I said. “But it’ll be fun, I’m sure. We can explore the planet.”
“Mmhm. And when you get bored, I can breed your little—”
“Raider,” I hissed, blushing as other beings moved around us.
We got a couple of side looks, although everyone was honestly getting used to our flirtations.
“You two!”
We both looked up, seeing Madam Moonie stand there fanning herself.
“Yes?” I called.
“Get out of here before you start fornicating on the loading docks. Go have fun,” she hissed.
I blushed from head to toe but Raider only snorted.
“As you wish, Madam.”
I took off his hat and put it back on his head. He set me down carefully, and then grabbed our bags.
“Alright, sugar. We have to take a train to the springs. It’s about a twenty minute ride. I booked us a private space…”
I raised a brow at him, following him off the docs.
“A private space, you say?” I asked.
“Yes. Don’t go getting any ideas…”
“Now, why would I do that? We both know you have plenty of them.”
“Ain’t that the truth.”
With that, I slipped my hand into his. We walked off into the sunset, starting the rest of our lives exactly the way we wanted.
