A whimper is my only response. I’m not fighting him anymore. I know there’s no point.

The next orgasm comes with two fingers in my ass. He uses his mouth for the third.

And he fucks me dead for the last.

I feel when they shower me, but I’m not really here. They’re both in here with me, naked, and the only thing I wonder in my numb mind is if they’d ever shared a girl before.

I must ask them because Elliot answers my question. Unless he really is a mind reader? Surely, that’s impossible. Fuck, I feel high.

“Just you, baby,” Elliot answers. “Ethan has never fucked another girl but you.”

My traitorous heart flutters, spreading warmth in my body that’s hotter than the water falling on us.

I force my heavy eyes open. Ethan is standing in front of me, so it’s Elliot at my back. I lick my lips. Seeing Ethan’s naked body almost kills me. All those tattoos on his ripped muscles. His skin isn’t pale like Elliot’s. It’s a few shades lighter than mine, but it’s clear that not both his parents are Caucasian. He’s skinnier than his brother, his muscles tight, his body narrower.

Ethan has never been with another girl. I know it’s true. Not because Caden said it and not because Elliot says it. The truth is in Ethan’s eyes, in the looks he gives me. In the way his calloused hands roam over my body as he washes me.

“If you loved me that much,” I mumble so quietly, it must be hard to hear under the splash of the shower jet, “then why did you choose to let me go for the Kings?”

He freezes, his gaze dropping in shame.

“That’s not fair to ask,” Elliot says softly behind me.

“It is,” I fight back weakly. “I loved him, and he chose them over me.”

“He chose what he thought would protect you,” Elliot continues, his hands grabbing my boobs from behind. He brings me closer to him, but my eyes stay on Ethan’s face. “I made him—”

“You don’t need to defend me,” Ethan says through gritted teeth. He fists his hands hanging by his sides, his gaze down. When he looks up, there’s only regret dulling his already black eyes.

“I let you down,” he tells me. “I did it because I didn’t want to be the loser who couldn’t take care of his girlfriend anymore. Who couldn’t defend her. Do you know how it felt every time someone made fun of you, or hurt you, ortouched you, and I just stood there and watched because there was nothing I could do about it? I was a coward.”

He runs a wet hand against his face, brushing away drops that are splashing in his eyes.

“You were fine before you met me. You had never been bullied or mocked. Then you associated yourself with me because you were a good friend. Because you were in love. And then they got to you too. They hurt you and teased you and humiliated you. You didn’t deserve that. You didn’t deserve a boyfriend who let it happen because he was scared of being beaten up by NSC dudes who thought they were the kings of the school.”

“I didn’t care.” My voice is barely a squeak.

“Fuck, Jade. Billie Scott made you crawl around the cafeteria if you wanted your lunch, and you did it because you knew you couldn’t afford to buy anything else. What didIdo? I stood there, and I watched.”

I’m exhausted, and the emotions are pouring out of me without a filter. “I didn’t care about any of it as long as you were by my side.”

“I cared,” he hisses. “How many times could I justwatchyou take on the humiliation that came with being my girlfriend? Elliot might have been the catalyst, but I made my choice. I wanted to be stronger, to be violent, to be feared. Iwanted it, Jade. To protect you from them. That came with being part of the Kings, and to be part of the Kings, I had to let you go.”

“You said breaking up with me wasn’t your choice.”

“Because I still blamed Elliot for it. But I’m done hiding behind his actions. Yeah, he’s a fucking manipulator—”

“Hey,” Elliot jumps in.

Ethan gives him a pointed look before both his hands grab my shoulders so I focus on him. “But it was my decision, and I fucking regret it, believe me. So no, I haven’t slept with anyone else—”

“But Caden,” I cut him off.

He presses his lips together, clearly pissed that we keep cutting him off.

“But Caden,” he agrees. “Once.”

“Oh. It looked like you guys were dating for a little bit.”
