“What am I thinking?”

“That you want to devour me?”

“I always want to devour you, Aliyah,” I tell her. Because it’s the truth. No matter how much I have this woman, I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of her.

ChapterThirty-Seven

Liam’s eyes are full of lust. You wouldn’t think I just emptied the man not even half an hour ago. I wonder if he takes supplements or some shit. It’s not normal how often he can perform. Not that I’m complaining. I’ll take Energizer Liam any day over a two-pump chump. Although now, being trapped in this room, the last thing I want to do is fool around. What I want is to get the hell out of here. I’m trying really hard not to panic again. I’m so embarrassed by how freaked out I got.

I look to the door, feeling that same panic creeping up my neck again. “Liam?” I ask.

“Yeah.”

“Talk to me. Tell me something about you that I don’t already know.”

“Okay, but you have to promise not to laugh,” he says, his expression suddenly serious.

“Promise,” I say.

“Come, sit down.” Liam sits crossed-legged on the floor. I plop down in front of him. “Okay, what I’m going to tell you can never leave this room, like ever.”

“Okay.” I nod my head, curious as to what he’s going to say.

“When I was in the fifth grade, there was this girl, Chelsea Stevens.” He smiles. “She wasthegirl at school. Every boy wanted to be her boyfriend, and I was no exception.”

I try to picture Liam as a little kid. I can only imagine the kind of trouble he would have gotten into.

“Anyway, she did figure skating. And I was already playing hockey at this point, so I thought how hard could it be to dance around on the ice? I was already a great skater,” he says.

“I’m sure you were.” I laugh.

“The best the youth league had ever seen,” he deadpans. “I signed up for her figure skating class and made sure I was assigned to be her partner.”

“So you danced with her? And it made her fall hopelessly in love with you?” I ask him.

“Not exactly.” He looks away briefly before his eyes settle back on me. “Nobody told me I’d have to do the splits, spin around a million times a minute, and shit like that. And I used to be a bit cocky, thought my shit didn’t stink.”

“Used to be?” I interrupt him.

“Yes. Used to be,” he says with a scowl that I do my best not to laugh at. “Anyway, I went out on the ice and tried to copy the same moves the teacher had instructed me to do.”

“What happened?”

“I spun and spun so damn much that when I went to land on a split, I tore a muscle in my groin.”

“Ouch.”

“Exactly. I had to be carried off the ice. I couldn’t get up. The whole class was laughing at me, including Chelsea Stevens,” he tells me.

“Aw, I’m sorry you didn’t get the girl.”

Liam shakes his head. “I couldn’t play hockey for weeks afterwards.”

“Whatever happened to Miss Chelsea Stevens?” I ask him.

“Oh, I got her in the end. I taught her how to give a blowjob in ninth grade.” He smiles proudly.

I blink at him. “Seriously? That’s your embarrassing story?”
