“Bend your elbows over your shoulders, love. Hold your hair up.”
“Like this?” Aria playfully bit her lip and winked at him, holding the pose.
“Perfect! I love it!”
She laughed, snatching the camera away. “We took enough photos of me. It’s your turn now.”
“Definitely not.” Evan chuckled, reaching for his camera, but she blinded him with a flash.
“Oops!You blinked!”
Covering his face, he avoided another flash.
“Someone’s photogenic.”
“Hand it over.”
“Make me!”
“Oh, I’ll make you all right…”
Evan laughed, matching her steps while she walked in reverse, taking pictures. Before she knew it, she was slammed against a brick wall. Evan trapped her, closing the space.
“Nowhere to go now, love.” He took the camera out of her hands and snapped a photo of her.
“I don’t want to go, anyway.” She raised her arms above her head and crossed her wrists, as if she were bound by invisible chains.
So sexy,Evan thought.
Possessed by the music, Aria coiled her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. She wanted to seduce him; she wanted to be reckless and stupid; but most of all, she wanted to hurt Noah. Despite the warnings in her mind, she brushed her hands down Evan’s naked chest and slid them up his shoulders.
“What are you doing, Aria?” He searched her eyes, never blinking.
“Touching you.”
“Why?”
“Why not?”
He stayed still and said nothing, welcoming her healing caresses.
Pulling him closer, she closed her eyes as she braced herself for his kiss. Their lips were inches away from touching when someone pounded on the door.
“Right on time,” Evan sighed disappointingly. “Hide out in my room. I’ll handle your dad.”
But she didn’t want to hide. She wanted Noah to see how reckless she had been. She wanted to be vindictive and cut into his heart the same way he had cut into hers.
“Let me in, Evan!” Noah shouted from the other side of the door. “I know she’s there!”
Someone was getting beat up that night, badly.
