It was sort of true. At the top of the mountain, the temperature dropped fast. I would have survived if I didn’t have his warm body to cuddle up to. But I had him. So why not take advantage.

It was either how little I ate or how much smaller I was, but the wine hit me way before it hit him.

“Do you completely regret coming with me this weekend?” I asked needing to know.

“I don’t regret a second of it.”

“That’s good,” I said resting my head on his chest.

“You’re not falling asleep on me, are you? The sun hasn’t even set.”

“Uh uh.”

“Are you drunk?”

“No!”

“You are, aren’t you?”

“I think you would know if I were drunk.”

“How’s that?”

“I would probably be climbing on top of you and kissing you by now.”

Titus didn’t reply.

“I might be a little drunk,” I realized.

“That’s what I thought,” he said with a chuckle.

“But, what if I did it?”

“Did what?”

“Climbed on top of you and started kissing you.”

Titus laughed. “Yeah, right.”

“Don’t think I would do it?”

“Don’t make promises your lips can’t keep,” he teased.

“You would freak out, wouldn’t you?”

“I wouldn’t!”

“Oh no, a guy just kissed me. What do I do? Am I gay?”

“You know I wouldn’t say that.”

“I can’t believe my lips touched another man’s. I’m going to have to wash my mouth out with soap.”

And that was when he took my cheek in his large hand, peeled me off of him, and touched his lips to mine. I didn’t see it coming. By the time I knew what was happening, he was starting to pull away. I didn’t want it to stop. Did he?

I opened my eyes to see his gorgeous face pulling away from mine. He looked as surprised as I was.

“I’m sorry,” he said regretting it immediately.
