Moments Earlier
Chase’s words were a weight that hit me like a ton of bricks. I turned back and faced him.
“You’re right. I failed Steven and Adam, but this is different. Gabriella doesn’t have an evil bone in her body, and I was a fucking idiot for not realizing that,” I said solemnly.
I extended a hand out to a shocked Chase and pulled him up to his feet.
“Thank you, Chase, for fighting for her when I was too blinded by the past,” I said, clapping him in the back.
A slow grin spread across his face.
“Hell, yeah!” He belted out.
Stone came running into the room with a huge grin on his face.
He walked up to me and pointed a finger in my face.
“Gabriella is in heat. Therefore, she is mine by law. Chase, you with me?” He said, turning to Chase.
In heat? Already?
That set off alarm bells in my head, but I shook it off. Still, an uneasy feeling persisted in my gut. Judith had tricked my former pack by pretending she was in heat and that they were her fated mates.
You know what? It was better to be safe than sorry.
“Hold on, Stone. If she’s really in heat, then she will be our omega. Just give me a minute to talk to her and make sure.” I commanded.
Stone hated the idea, but he and Chase agreed to give me a minute to verify.
I walked up the stairs and saw her room door open and empty. The feeling in my gut grew stronger.
Something was off. A bitter taste coated the back of my throat.
I went over to my office and opened the door.
Immediately, I saw her with her bouncy ass in the air, trying to unlock a drawer. It jiggled with her frantic movements, and I stared at it, captivated at the sight.
She bent down even lower, and I almost cummed in my pants. Each orb was perfectly round, and I was desperate to sink my cock in between those cheeks.
I pulled my thoughts away in anger.
