My pack surrounded me, and I never felt happier. I drifted off to sleep, my heart and pussy content.

Gabriella

I awoke sometime in the night, surrounded by sweaty alpha bodies. I felt uncomfortably hot, and my throat was parched. I needed a drink of water desperately.

I slowly peeled myself away from the center of my pack, careful not to disturb their sleep. I quickly grabbed a thin robe from the closet and belted it around my waist.

I tiptoed out of the room, closing it behind me. I knew I could’ve woken up Chase to get me a drink, but I felt bad bothering him after everything he had done to take care of me.

I still felt a sense of independence after being on my own for so long, and it was hard getting used to having a pack who would fetch me my slippers or a tissue before I even had the chance to ask for it.

It was a little unnerving how well they could predict my needs and meet them before I could even realize it.

I carefully made my way down the stairs in the dark. The glow of the moonlight from a downstairs window illuminated my path.

I hit a squeaky stair and paused, making sure I didn’t wake the sleeping alphas above me. I reached the bottom of the stairs and felt blindly along the wall for a light switch.

I didn’t find any and just decided to walk in the opposite direction of the living room, the only room I remembered from when I first came here. Surely, if I kept walking, I would reach the kitchen.

I saw the glow of appliances ahead.

Bingo!

I quickly walked in, the dark now freaking me out. I grabbed a glass sitting on a dish rack and filled it with water. I gulped it down quickly, soothing my parched throat.

I was filling it up again for the second time when a sound caught my attention.

I turned off the faucet, set the glass down, and turned to the side door in the corner of the kitchen.

To my horror, I could see the lock turning, unlocking the door to whoever was on the other side of it. I took a step back, ready to run, when the door opened, and a shadowed figure shuffled in.

The moonlight caught his face as he looked at me with an evil grin.

“Wesley! What the hell are you doing here?” I gasped out at my former guard in shock.

“You think you’re gonna leave high and dry, bitch. I see you haven’t wasted any time with these alphas,” he sneered at me through broken, bloody lips.

His whole face was a mess, with a swollen purple eye and multiple bruises and cuts that were bleeding heavily from Roman’s attack on him.

He shuffled forward with a limp, shackles dragging on the ground behind him. His squinty gaze greedily took in my form, clad only in the skimpy night robe. I felt spiders crawling up my back at his look.

I crossed my arms in front of my chest self-consciously, but I stood my ground. My past was not going to drag itself in and ruin my perfect fairytale.

I was going to have to get rid of him.

“I’m done with the drinking, now get the fuck out and stop bothering me,” I hissed at him.

I shuddered at the thought of the perfect gentleman, Chase, seeing this horrid reminder of my past. Wesley was like an embarrassing pimple I needed to hide.

I kept my voice down, not wanting to alert the alphas to an intruder.

“You used me for years, and now you’re gonna pay up. I’m locked up because of you, slut. My life is ruined, and I have no chance of getting my own omega now,” Wesley spat out hatefully, shuffling closer and closer to me.

I took another step back and looked at him with disgusted pity.

“Even before you were locked up, no omega wanted to get within ten feet of you. You’re lucky you had access to alcohol so you could tempt me, but now that you don’t, Get. The. Fuck. Out.” I whisper yelled at him.

My words enraged him, and his eyes bulged horribly in his head. His claws shot out, and he lunged towards me, not even giving me a chance to scream.
