Drew shook his head. "My home is with you, Hope. So, be it here or Louisville or even some shack in the hills somewhere in between, wherever you are is where I want to be. With you." He leaned forward and brushed a kiss across her lips. "Only you."

"And our little coconut," Hope added, tears of happiness swimming in her eyes. "I love you, Drew. And I can't think of a more perfect place than right here to build our life together."

"Are you sure? Because—"

Hope pressed her finger against Drew's lips to silence any caveats he was about to offer. "I'm positive." And she was. Gone were her doubts and concerns. Her worries and apprehension. Her fears and reservations. Every single obstacle that stood between them and this moment no longer existed.

And Hope had never been happier. "I'm glad your mother stopped by today."

"You're really thinking about my mother right now?"

With a sheepish smile, Hope nodded. "Well, yeah." She wound her arms around Drew's neck. "She was the one who convinced me we needed to talk sooner rather than later."

His eyes widened. "So this is what you wanted to talk about back at the house?"

"Pretty much."

"Because of my mother?"

"She made a good point. Why worry about what might happen between us after the holidays when nothing was stopping us from having the discussion now and setting our minds at ease?"

Drew laughed and shook his head.

"What?"

"My father and I had a similar conversation at lunch today."

"Hence the one-horse open sleigh?"

"No." Grinning, he pulled her closer. "That was all me."

"You done good."

"Anything for you," he whispered, lowering his head toward hers.

Before his mouth reached hers, Hope pressed her palm against his chest. "There is one other thing your mother and I talked about today."

"Yeah? And what was that?"

"I invited her to be there when the baby is born."

"You did?"

Hope nodded. "She said wild horses couldn't keep her away."

"Oh, I have no doubt. Even without the invitation."

She slapped his chest playfully. "Stop."

Laughing, he curled his fingers around hers. "And God help us if our little coconut is a girl."

"Like she won't have you wrapped around her finger before the ink dries on her birth certificate."

His eyes softened. "She already does." He brought their joined hands to the center of his chest. "And so does her mother."

Once again, tears filled her eyes. God, she loved this man.

"So, what do you say? Will you do me the honor of allowing me to make an honest woman out of you, Hope Logan?"
