“I know, I know, I’m being cheesy. But, Mom and Dad, maybe it’s time for me to believe in love again.”

What was this? Lia has stopped believing in love?

“Sorry, I’m rambling here. Long story short, me and Dar are now together in Parmingam – as you’ve probably guessed from the view behind us – on an impromptu romantic getaway! He invited me for a week or so and… well…” Lia turned to the side again and cupped his cheek, eyes on his. “How could I refuse a man like him?”

How can I not ravish her after this?

“This surely seems rash to you, particularly since I have so much work to do this week. But after the last year I’ve had, I needed to let go, to be impulsive for a change. I don’t know what this thing between me and Dar is, if it will last, but I’m happy with where we are now.Hemakes me happy. That’s what matters, right? Living in the here and now, enjoying the moment…”

Exactly. Dargus would make Lia enjoy the moment. He would make sure of it.

“So… yeah. I’m happy, Mom and Dad. I don’t want you to worry about me. Do me a favor and let William know not to expect me at work this week, will you? Thanks. I promise to give you more details when I get back. Until then, love you both to the moon and back! See you soon!”

TheDickionwas somewhere beyond Pluto at the moment, but Dargus would tell her about their location and future course later. Now he had other plans, reason being beyond his grasp at this point.

“And that’s a wrap!” Lia announced contentedly, lowering the phone to her lap. “I should probably watch the whole thing to make sure nothing is amiss, but let’s upload it to your ship’s computer first, in case my phone dies in the process–”

It was her words that died the sechiona she looked to the side at him.

Dargus had deactivated the face modifier, but he hoped that wasn’t what had shocked Lia into silence. He hoped it was because she had seen the hunger in his gaze… and felt hungry herself.

When she didn’t initiate anything but didn’t move away either, her lips still parted in surprise, he couldn’t hold back any longer.

He went for her lips like he’d been deprived of oxygen and she was his only salvation in deep space.

Lia gasped as his lips touched hers, jumping in his arms. In surprise? Or was it disgust?

Before Dargus could try to rein himself in and pull away, her mouth was attacking his with more fervor than he could dream of. She even shifted until she faced him completely to get better access to his lips.

He wrapped his arms around her, one hand at her back and the other at the nape of her neck to pull her closer for a deeper taste. He couldn’t get enough of her taste. Sweet and addictive, it made him lose all sense of where he was and why this was not a good idea. Only Lia existed now; the ship might as well be exploding around them and he wouldn’t know.

As her tongue delved into his mouth, it was Dargus who was about to explode. He allowed her to explore a bit, mindful of his tusks, but then he took over, plunging his tongue between her invitingly parted lips. With no sharp teeth to worry about, he tasted her fully, no obstacles to his sensual attack. He could even do without air, so long as their lips remained locked.

It was Lia who made the move to lock their lower bodies as well, straddling him. Her rubbing her cunt against him short-circuited both his brains, leaving only pure instinct in control.

Dargus had her under him and moaning against his mouth in a heartbeat. Her bare feet dug on either side of his tail, encouraging him to continue with the rocking motion he had started. They were both overdressed, however, fruckingclothing separating her skin from his. Without leaving her lips, he reached between them for the hem of her t-shirt and–

His comm chimed.

No...

The chiming sounded again, clear to hear over their panting.

Not now!

“Dar, what’s that?”

Instead of reply, he buried his face in her hair and inhaled the heady aroma of her arousal perfuming the air. Maybe if he ignored them…

No such luck. The chimes got so insistent that even Cubbie came rolling, chirruping on his way in, cranky at having been awoken from his evening slumber on the bridge.

I feel you, furball.

“Dar? What’s going on?”

He sighed, resting his cheek against hers. “We’ve got company.”

Lia went rigid under him. “What? Who?”
