“Galaxies, you must find me lacking–”

“I like it, Miya. This valley between your breasts… It’s erotic.”

“Really?” She suddenly remembered something. “Is that why you stared at my cleavage on the beach, ears twitching?”

His lack of reply said it all. He had been physically attracted to her from the very start of their deadly adventure on Xera.

That made Miya bold enough to ask, “Is the sight erotic because you imagine sliding your big, hard cock there?”

His lips paused over her nipple. He looked up to meet her gaze. His was as dark as a black hole.

“Yes, Therak, I want that too. I want to see you come undone along with me.”

“No.”

She gasped at the firmness in his tone. “You don’t want that?”

He flashed her a fang as a dangerous smile appeared on his face. “Not until I have tasted your essence.”

Whoa, did he mean...?

Yup, he totally did. Before she knew it, Miya was in her panties only, Therak sliding the lace aside and exposing her pussy to his intense gaze.

“Such a tiny thing and yet so powerful,” he murmured, thumbing her clit.

Miya all but came then and there. She was so turned-on already she was tempted to guide him by the ears to where she needed him the most, since he was just hovering there, looking at her clit as though it were the eighth wonder of the worlds.

She bit her bottom lip when he finally moved, lowering his head between her legs. Would his lips latch onto the little nub? Or would he first lick around it, making her squirm? Perhaps he would use his long tongue to delve in–

The lights in the room switched to emergency red.

Then an ear-piercing alarm blared.

Well... crap.

Not Quite Safe-ish

Dang it! That twat-blocking son of… an alarm! Not only had it ruined the amazing moment but its start out of the blue had nearly given Miya a heart attack. And her poor Therak, with his extra-sensitive hearing, was bent in two, palms over his ears.

“Make it stop!” he growled, fangs bared.

“I can’t from here, we need the command room!” she shouted over the alarm. She was already getting into her jumpsuit, as fast as her shaky limbs would allow. The shock of the unexpected head-splitting alarm had whacked her nervous system.

Who had decided that an automated warning signal should be loud enough to wake the dead? They most surely didn’t need to prepare for whatever this alarm was for. Maybe Miya should care more about the reason for the alarm than stopping it, but right now her priority was Therak.

The three long signals followed by a single beep kept repeating over and over again as she and Therak moved toward the station, and he could hardly keep up with her short strides. The noise must be excruciating to his ears.

Miya was really tempted to run ahead and switch the torture device off. They were walking along a corridor connecting the residential building to the station, so she wouldn’t even be going outside on her own. But even if she exited the building, she would be in the sun. Safe-ish.

“Therak, I’m going to hurry ahead, try to stop–”

The alarm stopped.

Miya and Therak paused in their tracks amid the corridor. She could still hear the warning signal echoing in her head, but the actual thing had stopped. Thank the stars.

“Therak, are you all right?” She put a hand on his bent back, rubbing soothingly. “The alarm must have been set to stay on only for several minutes.”
