“Can you play Love Me Like a Reptile by Motörhead?” Sawyer asked.

She tapped out a few notes, and then a whole chorus. “Like that?”

“Perfect.” Sawyer grinned.

“My fee is included in the ceremony, but tipping is traditional,” she said.

Sawyer and Gage both dropped large bills in her tipping jar.

She grasped my fingertips loosely and winked at me. “Pair of keepers.”

“Trust me, I know it.” I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face, and I didn’t want to.

She started to play.

“Hang on. One more thing.” Gage pulled his phone from his pocket. “I have to make a call.”

What?

I peered over his shoulder as he dialed Aubrey. The phone only rang once before she answered on video. She was surrounded by all of our friends. Even Eddie was with them.

Gage and Sawyer moved to the altar, to stand by Elvis, and Gage set his phone on a stand next to them, looking out on the room, so our guests could see.

As I walked down the aisle to Motörhead, My smile, the joy in my heart, grew with every step. By the time I reached the front of the room, I was ready to burst with love and joy.

The ceremony was a blur, I caught Elvis telling us something about loving and cherishing each other, and getting three I dos from us.

And the kisses…

I always loved the kisses, but today they meant more. The love I felt flowing between all three of us, the cheers from our friends on the phone, it was so incredible. I never imagined I could have something like this.

Having Gage and Sawyer by my side, through sickness and health and strife and good times and everything else Elvis had said…. I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend the second half of my life.
