Jaasiel grabs him before he can hit the ground good and basically throws him into the wall.

“I guess we’ll be remodeling the entrance,” Asher says as the drywall disintegrates under the force of the impact.

Jaasiel is on him in an instant, choking him and cutting off his air until Aryan is clawing at his hands, we are trying to pull Jaasiel off of Aryan, but this bastard is strong and mad.

“The next time you put your fucking hands on my wife will be the last thing you’ll ever do! I don’t give a fuck about you being my brother! Your ass is a fucking mess because you are too much of a fucking coward to claim your woman! And now that she has more backbone than your bitch ass, you want to self-destruct? For fucking what? You played fast and loose with her, and you lost! Own that shit. If you didn’t want to lose her, you should’ve done what it took to keep her. Fucking sorry ass. Go to bed, Aryan, before you really get fucked up,” Jaasiel says, seething, pissed off.

“Jaa! Let him go. He’s drunk. He didn’t do it on purpose,” Parker says.

“I don’t care.”

“Jaasiel,” he slurs out.

“Don’t say shit to me,” he says, walking over to Parker to make sure she is okay. He looks at all of us, and I can see the hurt in his eyes as he turns and stumbles upstairs.

It feels so good to have my own clinic. I don’t have to worry about how anyone feels about my appearance or have any unhinged doctors running around paying for tattoo removal surgeries. I hired one nurse, a receptionist, and another doctor. I have a few patients, and the doctor I hired brought some of his own patients with him. What surprised me the most was a lot of the patients that I helped at the hospital had switched their primary care physician to me. That further lets me know that the issues that I was getting at the hospital were not the general consensus. I did not realize how stressed I was working at the hospital until after my first day here.

I am finishing up transcribing my notes when Lennox walks in. I am not sure she understands how retirement works since she has been here every day.

“Lennox, aren’t you….”

“The wives are here! All of them!” she says out in a rush. Jumping up from my desk, I rush to my coat rack and hurriedly push my arms through the sleeves and button it up. Over the past week or so, my stomach has started to show signs of my pregnancy, and I still haven’t had the heart to tell anyone yet. If they were to come in here and see my stomach, all hell would break loose, so lab coat it is. I get the last button done when my office door opens, and in walks the crew.

“You moved out of the compound and forgot all about us,” Carla says.

“Now y’all know that is not true. I have been busy putting my house and my medical office together. You heffas could have come helped,” I say, smiling. I have truly missed seeing them every day.

“Well, we are here now. Put us to work.”

“Everything is already set up,” I tell them.

“Not everything,” Savvy says as I notice for the first-time furniture movers behind them. We move out of their way as several men walk in and begin packing up my office. They remind me of the scene inThe Sword in the StonewhenMerlinuses magic to pack the house up. They move quickly and efficiently eventually, they carry my desk out. “What did you guys do?” I ask with more than a little curiosity.

“Hush, and let the men work.”

“Personally, I am not mad at the view,” Parker says.

“I bet. Are you going to recruit them for your business?” True asks, and Parker looks at her like it’s a good idea.

“How about we focus, Parker, before your husband six feets all of them over you. You know that man is crazy, especially when it comes to you,” Joyce says.

“Please name one of our husbands who isn’t,” Carla says, watching the movers. I will say they are easy on the eyes. Not as handsome as…nope, I am not going there,I think.

“Jag,” Savvy says, making all of us pause and look at her like she spontaneously grew another head before we all roar with laughter.

“I know you fucking lying!” True says. “His ass is crazier than all of ours put together. The fact that he’s so quiet with it makes it even scarier.”

“Jag, yeah, right,” Joyce says.

“I think the man would kick Earth out of this solar system if he had to, to save you,” Lennox joins in.

“IfThanoshad told Josh he was going to snap and you would no longer exist, he would have beat his ass and twelve-footed him before he could get the chance. NoAvengersneeded,” I say.

“No, for real!” We all laugh and laugh even harder when she rolls her eyes at us while giving us the middle finger. Damn, I really missed them.

“Oh my god, what did y’all do?”
