“A little nervous,”

“Why baby, you have had every right and access as any of the other wives for year. The only thing missing is the name,” he says, and he’s right. I didn’t think about it like that.

“That’s true,”

“Well, come on and see me at the altar so we can get the necessities out of the way and we can enjoy our time with our family. Can I tell you how stunning you look? Today and the day you gave birth to our daughter are my favorite memories of you, I don’t think you could ever top it.”

“You don’t look so bad yourself,” I tell him, standing there looking delicious in his black tux.

“Only for you, péitseog. Why aren’t you wearing your necklace?”

“It has Edreece’s ring on it. I didn’t think it would be appropriate,” I tell him. He reaches past me to pick it up and fasten it back around my neck.

“The man has been taking care of you since you were eighteen years old. It would be inappropriate if you didn’t have him with you today. He took care of you, and his actions eventually led you to me. I owe the man more than I can vocalize.”

“Aryan, just when I think I can’t love you anymore, you go and say and do things like this.” I furiously dab my eye with the tissue so it doesn’t ruin my makeup.

“Don’t cry, love, let’s just go get married,” he kisses me on the cheek and heads to the door. “Hurry up!” he says, slipping out of the door.

I head out the door and into the hallway so I can get to the ballroom where the ceremony is being held. Lennox is waiting for me at the door.

“Are you ready?”

“For years.” The doors open, and Lennox and I link hands before walking down the aisle. Hemi offered to walk me down the aisle, but I felt Lennox was the best choice. Aryan is waiting for me at the altar feeding McKinley in the baby carrier he has strapped to his chest. If that shit ain’t sexy, I don’t know what is. We make it to the altar and she pulls me into a fierce hug before placing my hand in Aryan’s and taking her seat.

“I think I should just get a house here, but then again, there is only one brother left,” Pastor Errington says, making us all laugh. “But this couple has been in a long time making, and I am so very pleased to be the one to formalize their union. Aryan and Brooklyn have written their own vows.”

“Brooklyn, our story is not one of perfection, but rather a testament to the strength of our bond—a bond that has weathered storms and emerged even stronger on the other side. I almost missed out on the best thing that has ever happened to me. But luckily, you didn’t give up. You loved me so fiercely that giving up wasn’t an option. Through the highs and lows, you have been my anchor, my confidant, and my greatest ally. We may not have had a smooth path here, but we did have a deliberate one.

I hear people all the time say they fell in love, and I am glad I cannot say the same thing because I didn’t fall in love with you, Brooklyn. I chose to. Falling is an accident, but making the decision is on purpose. I purposely love you, I choose you every day, and I look forward to loving you every day, to making you smile, to make sure you are safe and taken care of. I love you because the way you love me demands it. And I give in willingly and deliberately every single day. I promise to honor the lessons we've learned and the growth we've achieved. I vow to continue growing with you, both individually and as a couple. I pledge to cherish the uniqueness that is you and to support the dreams that make your heart soar.

In times of joy, I will celebrate with you; in times of sorrow, I will be your solace. I promise to be patient, understanding, and unwavering in my commitment to us. I will strive to be the best partner, friend, and lover, and I will cherish every moment we share together.

As we stand on the threshold of forever, I commit to building a life that is rich in love, understanding, and laughter. I look forward to creating a home that is filled with warmth, where we can navigate life's challenges hand in hand.

I take you as my life partner, my love, and my best friend. With all that I am and all that I have, I promise to stand by your side, to uplift you, and to love you in the best and worst of times. Today, I choose you not only as my beloved but as my co-pilot on this incredible journey through life. I love you more than words can express, and I am eager to continue writing our story together.

“Aryan, our journey together has been a tapestry woven with threads of laughter, tears, and the strength that comes from overcoming challenges. We knew that love wasn't just a fairytale. It was a commitment to weathering storms and basking in the sunshine together. I take you as my partner, my confidant, and my greatest supporter. I vow to cherish the lessons we've learned, the growth we've experienced, and the love that has deepened with every passing day.

I promise to continue building a foundation of trust, communication, and understanding. In moments of joy, I will celebrate with you, and in moments of sorrow, I will stand by your side, offering comfort and strength. I promise to be your shelter in the storm and your greatest adventure in calm waters.

I will keep our love alive through the routine of everyday life, finding magic in the mundane and joy in the simple moments we share. I promise to be patient and kind, to appreciate the uniqueness that is you, and to encourage the dreams that make your heart dance.

As we step into this new chapter, I promise to be your partner in all things – your confidant, your ally, and your greatest advocate.

I look forward to a future filled with laughter, companionship, and the countless memories we will create together. With all that I am and all that I have, I take you as my beloved, my partner in this incredible journey, and my forever love.

I love you not only for who you are but for who you inspire me to be.” I say through tears, and I am not sure if the waterproof makeup I am wearing is going to hold up against the onslaught of tears that are flowing down my face. Jaasiel hands Aryan a tissue that he uses to catch my tears. We exchange rings, and a few seconds later, Pastor Errington is saying, “I now pronounce you husband and wife.”

Aryan pulls me as close to him as McKinley will allow and kisses me. “I love you,” he whispers to me before we make our way back down the aisle. Aryan and I decided to go right into the reception, so we headed to the other ballroom that had been set up for the reception. We head to the head table and wait for the guests. There are grazing boards set up at each table for guests to snack on until dinner is served. Aryan lays McKinley down in the portable bassinet that is sitting between us.

“Let’s dance,” he tells me. Ayan and I couldn’t agree on a song for our first dance, so we have two. We head to the middle of the dance floor, and the first notes ofShania Twain’s Still the Onebegins to play. The song is beautiful and sounds so much like our journey to this point I can’t really blame him for choosing it. Right after his song goes off,EverythingbyElla MaiandJohn Legendplays. After that and a ton of pictures. I change dresses before the rest of the dances. We dance, eat, cut the cake, and have a ball. Momma B and Hemi take McKinley upstairs to their suite with them while Aryan and I cut up downstairs.

“You know it’s been six weeks since you gave birth, right?”

“Yes, I am aware,”

“Good, I hope you got a good rest because I am going to tear your ass up tonight,” he says, causing me to release a startled laugh. Overall, the night was amazing.
