"What is this, Lennox?" She asks grinning with the sheer excitement of the game.

"I do believe you have found pirate treasure." I laugh.

She splashes me and asks again "But what is it?"

"Well, my love. That is something you are going to have to wait a little longer to find out." Come on, let's head back to the boat.

"Are you kidding me? I can't wait. I am so impatient. I want to know now?"

She laughs with frustration, but clearly loves the idea of a secret treasure waiting to be discovered.

Back on the boat, we are dressed comfortably, and she is sitting in front of me with my legs wrapped around her. She is playing with the key in her hands, trying to guess what it is for.

"A car?" she says. "Nope," I said laughing again.

"Hey. Why are we headed further out to sea?" She looks a little worried.

"Our adventure is not over yet, Em."

"Where are we going?"

"I am not going to tell you that."

"Lennox." she says, playfully punching my arm.

We are not on the water for too much longer when the boat arrives at an island. It is a small island covered in palm trees. There is a beautiful wooden deck in the shade of the trees, overlooking the water, that has white sheer fabric flowing from the sides and across the top. There is a table filled with a tropical island feast, a jug of pina colada, and other assorted drinks. On the other side of the wooden deck is a day bed to relax on and watch the ocean.

The boat pulls up onto the sand and I jump over the edge then turn to lift Emma down. Her mouth is open in shock.

"This is beyond beautiful, Lennox."

The captain of the boat says, "I will be back at sunset."

"Mahalo. We'll see you in a few hours."

The boat drives away and Emma and I stand alone on our own private little piece of heaven out in the ocean.

"Come, my love," I say leading her onto the deck.

"You are full of surprises." She says looking around the magical place.

"Well, you are about to find out what that key belongs to."

"Oh, my goodness." She exclaims, pulling the key out of her pocket.

"What is it for?" She asks.

I lead her to the table and pull a chair out for her, then reach over the table to a white wooden box that is waiting there for her.

She waits for me to sit down next to her and I pull her chair close to mine. Leaning on my shoulder she grins and lifts the box open. Inside is a laptop.

"A laptop?" she says confused.

"Open it." She lifts the screen of the laptop, and it jumps to life. Images of a beautiful mansion fill the screen with lush green lawns and a bright blue pool. The photos of the inside of the mansion show a large swirling staircase, glittering chandeliers, and bright open spaces. She flicks through them, still confused.

"What? I don't understand."

"That key will open the door to our new home, my love."
